CHAPTER III : TIME LIMITS AND POSTPONEMENTS §2 After hearing the parties, or at their request, the judge can, for a just reason, extend before they expire times fixed by himself or agreed by the parties. These times can never validly be shortened without the consent of the parties. §3 The judge is to ensure that litigation is not unduly prolonged by reason of postponement.
