Jesus, sent by the Father

78. Jesus, sent by the Father¹, is the source² and model of our apostolate. By His Incarnation, He makes Himself one in a special way with every human person³. Consecrated and led by the Holy Spirit, He announced the Good News of the Kingdom⁴. He made Himself the servant of His brethren even to laying down His life⁵. He died in order to bring God's family together in unity⁶. Now risen from the dead, He consecrates the whole of creation and leads it to its fulfilment⁷.
