Communion of the Priest

P. I will take the Bread of heaven, and call upon the Name of the Lord.

P. Lord, I am not worthy that You should come under my roof. But say the word and my soul will be healed.

(said three times)

P. May the Body of our Lord Jesus Christ preserve my soul to life everlasting. Amen.

(He reverently consumes the Host)

P. What return shall I make to the Lord for all He has given me? I will take the chalice of salvation, and I will call upon the Name of the Lord. Praising will I call upon the Lord and I shall be saved from my enemies.

P. May the Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ preserve my soul to life everlasting. Amen.

(He reverently drinks the Precious Blood)

(Sometimes said while the priest takes communion)

S. I confess to Almighty God, to Blessed Mary ever Virgin, to Blessed Michael the Archangel, to Blessed John the Baptist, to the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul, and all the Saints, and to you, Father, that I have sinned exceedingly in thought, word, deed.(here they strike their breast three times) through my fault, through my fault, through my most grievous fault, and I ask Blessed Mary ever Virgin, Blessed Michael the Archangel, Blessed John the Baptist, the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul, all the Saints, and you Father, to pray for me to the Lord our God.

P. May Almighty God have mercy on you, forgive you your sins, and bring you to everlasting life.
S. Amen

P. May the Almighty and Merciful Lord grant us pardon, + absolution, and remission of our sins.
S. Amen.
