 1  Unic,   4|   shall be afraid, so that my merit may be the greater; and
 2  Unic,   7|        and, in doing so, gain merit. I believe that anyone who
 3  Unic,   8|    perfection, so that he may merit the consolations and favours
 4  Unic,  10|   gives us these gifts for no merit of ours. Let us be grateful
 5  Unic,  11|      is a resolution of great merit; but we often begin to plan
 6  Unic,  12|    the grief also is of great merit. Of this nature are all
 7  Unic,  13|    knowing that it is a great merit to be subject to its director,
 8  Unic,  14|    things of earth. And small merit to it, for it sees clearly
 9  Unic,  34|     proved the reality of the merit which we gain by suffering
10  Unic,  36|       this was the way to win merit; and if I was to be unhappy
11  Unic,  39| feeling that we have won some merit by serving God. I do not
12  Unic,  39|      our service is devoid of merit or that it will not be well
