I
know
of a
person
who had
ceased
wishing
she might
die
so as to
see
God
, but was
desiring
death
in
order
that she might not
suffer
such
constant
distress
at the
thought
of her
ingratitude
to One to Whom her
debts
were so
great
. She
thought
nobody's
evil
deeds
could
equal
hers, for she
believed
there was no one with whom
God
had
borne
for so
long
and to whom He had
shown
so many
favours
.
