V Agni.

1. By Agni Agni is inflamed, Lord of the house, wise, young,. who bears

Our gifts: the ladle is his mouth.

2. God, Agni, be his sure defence who, lord of sacrificial gifts.

Worshippeth thee the messenger.

3. Be gracious, brilliant Godl to him who, rich in sacred gifts,would fain

Call Agni to the feast of Gods!
