XXII Indra

1. He who alone bestoweth wealth on mortal man who offereth gifts,

Is Indra only, potent Lord whom none resist.

2. Whoever with the Soma pressed draws thee away from many men, -

Verily Indra gains thereby tremendous power.

3. When willhe trample, like a weed, the man who hath no gift for him?

When, verily, will Indra hear our songs of praise?
