 1      I| fight with us, those we must slay~
 2      I|     Even though they seek to slay us? Not one blow,~
 3      I|     light on us, if we shall slay~
 4      I|      holy hymns. Thus, if we slay~
 5     II|     Know naught! Life cannot slay. Life is not slain!~
 6    III|  foes and doubts, dear Hero! slay~
 7     XI|   them perish! Thou wilt but slay the slain;~
 8    XVI|      slew a foe, and we will slay~
 9  XVIII|                       Should slay all yonder host, being bid
10  XVIII|    yonder host, being bid to slay,~
11  XVIII|                  He doth not slay; he is not bound thereby!~
