1 1, 3 | desires; it leads to Nirvana. Blessed is he who has found~the
2 1, 3 | unaffected by the evils of life.~ Blessed is he who has found enlightenment.
3 1, 3 | is~purity and goodness.~ Blessed is he who has attained the
4 1, 3 | proclaimed by the~Buddha! Blessed be the Buddha!~ ~
5 1, 7 | Even so when there is a blessed road leading the man held~
6 1, 7 | Thou art Bhagavat, the Blessed~One, for thou art called
7 1, 8 | offered him food. Wherever~the Blessed One came, the people gave

17 4, 13| THE FIRST CONVERTS~ ~ THE Blessed One tarried in solitude
18 4, 13| our refuge,~Lord, in the Blessed One and in the Dharma."
19 4, 14| BRAHMA'S REQUEST~ ~ THE Blessed One having attained Buddhahood
20 4, 14| s unchanging call!~ How blessed, to be kind and good,~ And
21 4, 14| hearing the words of the Blessed Buddha,~approached and said: "
22 4, 14| and, having~worshiped the Blessed One, said: "Alas! the world

25 4, 14| Dharma with faith."~ Then the Blessed One turned to Mara, saying: "
26 4, 14| Sahampati understood that the Blessed One had granted~his request
27 4, 15| SEES THE BUDDHA~ ~ Now the Blessed One thought: "To whom shall
28 4, 15| Park at Benares,~and the Blessed One rose and journeyed to
29 4, 15| acquaintance of~Siddhattha, saw the Blessed One while he journeyed to
30 4, 15| one and the holy one.~ The Blessed One said: "Jinas are all
31 4, 16| worldliness." But when the Blessed One approached in a~dignified
32 4, 16| they had thus received the Blessed One, he said: "Do not call~
33 4, 16| both extremes." And the~Blessed One spoke kindly to his
34 4, 16| Master's persuasion.~ Now the Blessed One set the wheel of the
35 4, 16| attained Nirvana."~ When the Blessed One had thus set the royal
36 4, 16| and shouted: "Truly, the Blessed One has founded~the kingdom
37 4, 16| kingdom of righteousness. The Blessed One has moved the earth;~
38 4, 17| the ordination from the blessed One." And the Buddha said: "
39 4, 17| and~salvation; he is the Blessed One, who knows the law of
40 4, 17| faith."~ The gospel of the Blessed One increased from day to
41 4, 17| extinction of suffering.~And the Blessed One seeing that it was impossible
42 5, 18| night and stole away to the~Blessed One. The Blessed One saw
43 5, 18| to the~Blessed One. The Blessed One saw Yasa coming from
44 5, 18| What tribulations!"~ The Blessed One said to Yasa: "Here

59 5, 18| and Yasa addressed the Blessed One saying:~"May the Blessed

65 6, 19| him."~ In the morning the Blessed One showed the dead body
66 6, 19| the festival~arrived, the Blessed One retired and did not
67 6, 19| not holy like me."~ The Blessed One addressed Kassapa and
68 6, 19| bowing down before the Blessed One, he said: "Lord, our

74 6, 20| SERMON AT RAJAGAHA~ ~ THE Blessed One having dwelt some time
75 6, 20| He is the Holy One, the~blessed Buddha, guiding men as a
76 6, 20| came to the grove where the Blessed One was. There they saw
77 6, 20| was. There they saw the~Blessed One in the company of Kassapa,
78 6, 20| Magadha king~said to the Blessed One: "In former days, Lord,
