1 Intro | Enlightened One: It is~through not understanding, not realizing four things,
2 3, 19| suffering, namely:~ 1. Right Understanding, 2. Right Mindedness, which
3 3, 20| EIGHTFOLD PATH FIRST STEP~RIGHT UNDERSTANDING~ ~ WHAT, now, is Right Understanding?
4 3, 20| UNDERSTANDING~ ~ WHAT, now, is Right Understanding? It is understanding the
5 3, 20| Right Understanding? It is understanding the Four~Truths. To understand
6 3, 20| suffering: This is called~Right Understanding~ Or, when the noble disciple
7 3, 20| karma, then he has Right~Understanding.~ ["Karmically unwholesome"
8 3, 20| absence of ill-will;~and right understanding.~ And what is the root of
9 3, 20| case one possesses Right~Understanding.~ ~UNPROFITABLE QUESTIONS~ ~
10 3, 20| Therefore, I say, Right Understanding is of two kinds:~ 1. The
11 3, 20| called the "Mundane Right~Understanding," which yields worldly fruits,
12 3, 20| of penetration, of right~understanding, conjoined with the Path-the
13 3, 20| the "Ultramundane Right~Understanding," which is not of the world,
14 3, 20| Noble Ones."]~ Now, in understanding wrong understanding as wrong,
15 3, 20| in understanding wrong understanding as wrong, and right~understanding
16 3, 20| understanding as wrong, and right~understanding as right, one practices
17 3, 20| right, one practices Right Understanding [1st step];~ and in making
18 3, 20| efforts to overcome wrong understanding, and to~arouse right understanding,
19 3, 20| understanding, and to~arouse right understanding, one practices. Right Effort [
20 3, 20| and in overcoming wrong understanding with attentive mind, and~
21 3, 20| the possession of right understanding,~one practices Right-Attentiveness [
22 3, 20| accompany and follow upon right understanding, namely:~right understanding,
23 3, 20| understanding, namely:~right understanding, right effort, and right
24 3, 20| being possessed of Right Understanding~should regard anything as
25 3, 21| with the paths.~ Now, in understanding wrong-mindedness as wrong,
26 3, 21| right, one practices Right Understanding [1st~step]; and in making
27 3, 21| right-mindedness, namely: right~understanding, right effort, and right
28 3, 22| with the paths.~ Now, in understanding wrong speech as wrong, and
29 3, 22| right, one practices Right Understanding [1st step); and in making~
30 3, 23| with the paths.~ Now, in understanding wrong action as wrong, and
31 3, 23| right, one practices Right Understanding [1st step]; and in making~
32 3, 23| right action,~namely: right understanding, right effort, and right
33 3, 24| with the~paths.~ Now, in understanding wrong living as wrong, and
34 3, 24| right, one practices Right Understanding [1st step]; and in making~
35 3, 24| right living,~namely: right understanding, right effort, and right
