THE PRAYER, OR "OUR FATHER," WHICH 4 1 | as we pray in the Lord's Prayer. ~Thus you have the sum 5 1 | the Creed, and the Lord's~Prayer, and thus direct our whole 6 1 | according to the Lord's~Prayer, forgive and show pity; 7 1 | Apostles' Creed and the Lord's Prayer must come to our aid~(as 8 1 | it by calling upon Him in prayer, praise, and thanksgiving, 9 2 | the Creed nor the Lord's~Prayer. But before we explain this 10 3 | Part Third. OF PRAYER. ~ 11 3 | The Lord's Prayer. ~We have now heard what 12 3 | before we explain the Lord's Prayer part by part, it is most~ 13 3 | exhort and incite people to prayer, as Christ and~the apostles 14 3 | nothing else than to pray. Prayer is therefore as strictly 15 3 | God heeds or will~hear my prayer? If I do not pray, some 16 3 | there is no duty or need of prayer, because we reject false~ 17 3 | would keep and~deter us from prayer. For just as it would be 18 3 | or leave it undone, but prayer shall and must be offered 19 3 | does not wish or desire our prayer, because we are~sinners 20 3 | by any means despise his prayer,~but rather set great store 21 3 | matter what he has to say in~prayer, should always come before 22 3 | no means to despise our prayer. Therefore it is to serve~ 40 3 | lest we become remiss in prayer. For I am but a poor~sinner, 69 3 | not in any way despise our prayer. ~ 70 4 | the Creed, and the Lord's Prayer out~of his head, but they 71 5 | Commandments, the Lord's Prayer, and the Creed retain~their 72 5 | with the fist. Fasting and prayer, etc., may indeed be an~ 73 5 | the Creed, and the Lord's Prayer might be the more~easily
