8 1 | is: ~Thou shalt honor thy father and thy mother. ~To this
9 1 | separates and distinguishes~father and mother above all other
10 1 | be, nevertheless they are father and mother~given them by
11 1 | that you obey me as your father, and that I have the supremacy. ~
12 1 | nobler than obedience to father and mother, to whom God
13 1 | account,~even if we had no father and mother we ought to wish
14 1 | before Us, whom we might call father and mother. How~much more,
15 1 | therefore, you~will not obey father and mother and submit to
16 1 | of~parents. For where a father is unable alone to educate
17 1 | perform the functions of a~father, and should have a paternal
18 1 | Now, what a child owes to father and mother, the same owe
19 1 | relations. For here the father is not one of a single~family,
20 1 | commandment when He speaks of father and mother. For~He does
21 1 | He would have~no need of father and mother. Let every one
22 1 | Here, now, God like a kind father steps in~ahead of Us, interposes
23 1 | Fourth Commandment: Honor thy father and thy~mother; but here
24 1 | civil government, preachers, father and mother~excepted, on
25 1 | parts. Just so governments, father and mother, brothers~and
26 1 | speaks to us~as friendly as a father, and offers us all grace
27 1 | Commandment, to wit, that we honor father and mother, masters, and
28 1 | are not to regard or fear father~or mother, or from love
29 1 | contrary~case a gracious Father. ~Again, that you do your
30 2 | First Article, of God the Father, explains Creation, the
31 2 | words: I believe in God the Father, who has created me; I~believe
32 2 | I. I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven
33 2 | activity, and work of God the Father. For since the Ten Commandments~
34 2 | This is my God: first, the Father, who has created heaven
35 2 | words: I believe in God the~Father Almighty, Maker, etc.? Answer:
36 2 | also confess that God the Father has not only given us all~
37 2 | our merit, as a benevolent Father, who cares for us that no~
38 2 | this article, where we say: Father Almighty ~Now, since: all
39 2 | For here we see~how the Father has given Himself to us,
40 2 | the~right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence He
41 2 | been created by God the Father, and had received from~Him
42 2 | the favor and grace~of the Father, and has taken us as His
43 2 | assumed the government at the Father's right hand, so that the
44 2 | sanctifies~us. For as the Father is called Creator, the Son
45 2 | made us~acceptable to the Father. What, then, was lacking?
46 2 | the grace~and favor of the Father except through the Lord
47 2 | Ten Commandments -- the~Father, all creatures; the Son,
48 3 | for a son to say to~his father, "Of what advantage is my
49 3 | despise his~obedience to father and mother, but should always
50 3 | and say: Here I come, dear Father, and~pray, not of my own
51 3 | godly Christian prays: Dear Father let Thy will be done, God~
52 3 | mother-tongue we would say: Heavenly Father, help that by~all means
53 3 | this prayer we call God our Father, it is our duty always to~
54 3 | and~disgrace to a natural father to have a bad perverse child
55 3 | nothing~else than saying: Dear Father, we pray, give us first
56 3 | pray~without ceasing: "Dear Father, Thy will be done, not the
57 3 | upon God and to pray:~Dear Father, forgive us our trespasses.
58 3 | trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, etc. ~
59 3 | promise and reflect thus: Dear Father, for this reason~I come
60 3 | God from the heart:~Dear Father, Thou hast bidden me pray;
61 3 | it all up and say: Dear Father pray, help that~we be rid
62 4 | them in the name of~the Father, and of the Son, and of
63 4 | commandment is added:~Honor thy father and thy mother, I behold
64 4 | the commandment, Honor thy father and thy~mother, which refers
65 4 | which the flesh is called father and~mother; so also, though
66 5 | preserved.~Therefore let every father of a family know that it
