1 Pref| is indeed the true holy water and holy sign from which
2 1| worthy to give it a drink of~water? And it serves them right
3 1| navigating and laboring in deep water~[and struggling against
4 2| day and~night, air, fire, water, earth, and whatever it
5 4| it is not mere~ordinary water, but water comprehended
6 4| mere~ordinary water, but water comprehended in God's Word
7 4| nothing else than a divine water; not~that the water in itself
8 4| divine water; not~that the water in itself is nobler than
9 4| itself is nobler than other water, but that God's~Word and
10 4| in no other way than as water which is~taken from the
11 4| say: How is a handful of~water to help the soul? Aye, my
12 4| who does not know that water is~water if tearing things
13 4| does not know that water is~water if tearing things asunder
14 4| separated? For the kernel in the water is God's Word or~command
15 4| another thing~than all other water; not on account of the natural
16 4| Therefore it is not only natural~water, but a divine, heavenly,
17 4| heavenly, holy, and blessed water, and in whatever~other terms
18 4| again that these two the water and the Word, by no~means
19 4| is~separated from it, the water is the same as that with
20 4| cannot be ordinary mere water. For mere~water could not
21 4| ordinary mere water. For mere~water could not do such a thing,
22 4| fruitful, and gracious water; for~by the Word such power
23 4| Thus faith~clings to the water, and believes that it is
24 4| and life; not through the water (as we have sufficiently~
25 4| Baptism, that is, to~the water comprehended in God's ordinance?
26 4| profitably the saving, divine water. For, since these blessings
27 4| the words in and with the water, they~cannot be received
28 4| apprehended. For by suffering the water to be poured upon you, you~
29 4| that you may receive in~the water the promised salvation.
30 4| apprehend nothing but the~water, is sprinkled, and, in addition,
31 4| apprehend. Now, since both, the water and the Word, are one Baptism,~
32 5| Baptism that it~is not simple water, so here also we say the
