1 1| anything except as God~has commanded, in order that it may be
2 1| ways and means than God has commanded. For that would not be receiving~
3 1| are, on the other hand, commanded to employ it~for truth and
4 1| comprehended summarily and commanded in the~passage Ps. 50, 15:
5 1| appointed it for rest,~and commanded that it should be regarded
6 1| one~perceives that God has commanded it or that it is a holy,
7 1| because God has Himself~commanded it. For what God commands
8 1| whom God has appointed~and commanded obedience next to His own
9 1| to work~and doing what is commanded, saying: Lo, this is better
10 1| Jews it was ordained and~commanded that every one must be married.
11 1| state, and it is solemnly commanded by~God that, in general,
12 1| avoid~unchastity, God has commanded the estate of matrimony,
13 1| have protected, and He has commanded that no one shall~subtract
14 1| on~the other hand, it is commanded that we advance and improve
15 1| ordinary~meaning, that it is commanded, first, that we do not desire
16 1| as all these things are commanded in their order, even~though
17 1| is not in vain that it is commanded in the Old Testament~to
18 3| as strictly and~earnestly commanded as all other commandments:
19 3| pray, or as though it were commanded those who~are holier and
20 3| fact that it is so solemnly commanded to pray, you are to~conclude
21 3| the reason that God has~commanded it. Therefore everybody,
22 3| desiring if He had not Himself commanded us to~pray for the same.
23 4| most solemnly and strictly commanded that~we must be baptized
24 4| precious, because God has commanded it, and, besides, it is~
25 4| than whatever else God has commanded and ordained, and~is, in
26 5| which we Christians are commanded by the Word~of Christ to
27 5| treated~as a show, but has commanded His Christians to eat and
28 5| for that which my~Lord has commanded [me] to do. ~And, indeed,
29 5| Word, because Thou hast commanded it, as one who would gladly
