1 1 | INTRODUCTORY.~Thus have I heard. Once upon a time the Lord
2 1 | by them could be entirely heard by all beings. And the monks,
3 1 | multitude of bells is constantly heard sounding; men, gods, goblins,
4 1 | speech on the law everywhere heard, he having shown such a
5 1 | opposition in all the world be heard everywhere, therefore does
6 1 | to become an ascetic, and heard that he had attained supreme,
7 1 | extreme sorrow when they heard the voice of the highest
8 1 | excellent Satra which I have heard before.~98. That very sign
9 2 | Tathâgatas.' Never before have I heard from the Lord such a discourse

29 4 | venerable Mahâ-Maudgalyâyana heard this law unheard of before,

36 7 | enjoyed their sight and heard the law from their mouth.

46 11| enlightenment before I had heard this Dharmaparyâya of the

48 11| ravished at the words I heard from the Seer, became his
49 11| explain it to thee. As I heard these words I rejoiced and
50 11| law. And the beings who heard the preaching of that Tathâgata
51 12| suite of four thousand nuns, heard from the Lord their future
52 13| 44. The wise man who has heard this law, should be constant
53 13| 64. And he, glad to have heard the law, joyfully pays his
54 14| Bodhisattvas; we never yet heard of such a multitude, that
55 16| expounded, the law we never heard before; how great the majesty
56 17| understood, such as he has heard it, and according to the
57 17| joyfully accept the law so heard, let it be a young man of
58 18| extremity of existence, are heard by him.~20. (In short),
59 18| he preaches, after having heard his sweet voice, so tender
60 18| he might make his voice heard by the whole of this world;
61 19| Mahâsattva Sadâparibhûta heard from a voice in the sky,
62 19| never saw a Tathâgata, nor heard the call of the law, nor
63 19| his death was impending he heard this Sûtra.~5. The sage,
64 19| such a Sûtra as this been heard. There are, indeed, hundreds
65 19| Therefore let one who has heard this law exposed by the
66 20| amazement, and rapture. And they heard a voice from the sky calling:
67 22| hundred Vivaras, which I have heard from that Lord. Therefore,
68 22| shall overpower him who has heard this Dharmaparyâya, no decrepitude,
69 26| seen my proper body and heard from me this entire Dharmaparyâya,
70 26| Tathâgata, &c.; that they have heard this Dharmaparyâya of the
