1 1 | Agâtasatru, king of Magadha, the son of Vaidehi.~Now at that
2 1 | doubts; grant a revelation, O son of Sugata!~52. Why is it
3 1 | appearing.~56. Maitreya asks the son of Gina; men, gods, goblins,
4 1 | meditation, he addressed his son Varaprabha, the wise Bodhisattva
5 1 | memory by Varaprabha, the son of Gina, the preacher of
6 1 | pupils of Varaprabha, the son of Gina, at the time of
7 2 | of men! I, thine eldest son, beseech thee. Here are
8 2 | Buddha-knowledge~61. If, O son of Sâri, I spoke to the
9 2 | of births.~66. To those, son of Sari, I show a device
10 2 | the very first. And the son of -Buddha who has completed
11 2 | come to that conviction, O son of Sâri, I instantly went
12 3 | I am the Lord's eldest son, born from his law, sprung
13 3 | stanzas:~23. Thou also, son of Sari, shalt in future
14 3 | of that Lord. Rejoice, O son of Sâri, for it is thou
15 4 | great man; the other (the son) is poor; in seeking a livelihood
16 4 | ever been thinking of the son he had lost fifty years
17 4 | and granaries, but have no son. It is to be feared lest
18 4 | he was thinking of that son: O how happy should I be,
19 4 | happy should I be, were my son to enjoy this mass of wealth!~
20 4 | mansion, has recognised his son at first sight, in consequence
21 4 | feels that the man is his son.~The householder, Lord,
22 4 | every one that it is his son. He calls one of his servants
23 4 | through a window his own son clearing the heap of dirt,
24 4 | with dust, and goes to his son, whom he greets from afar,
25 4 | manages to speak to his son, to have a talk with him
26 4 | thou art to me like my own son.~From that time, Lord, the
27 4 | poor man by the name of son, and the latter feels in
28 4 | of the householder as a son to his father. In this manner,
29 4 | affected with longing for his son employs him for the clearing
30 4 | householder perceives that his son is able to save, mature
31 4 | gentlemen! this is my own son, by me begotten. It is now
32 4 | town come hither. He is my son, I am his father. To him
33 4 | sorry to perceive that his son had run away and in his
34 4 | years.~5. In search of his son he came to some great city,
35 4 | in mind on account of his son.~10. 'It is fifty years
36 4 | years since that foolish son has run away. I have got
37 4 | Meanwhile that foolish son is wandering from village
38 4 | throne is glad to see his own son, and despatches messengers
39 4 | and thinks): There is my son engaged in a low occupation,
40 4 | well, indeed; thou art my son, surely; there is no doubt
41 4 | this of him (thinks): My son has arrived at the consciousness
42 4 | speaks thus: This is my son whom I lost a long time
43 5 | father for his dear and only son, he appears in the triple
44 8 | Lord, the venerable Pûrna, son of Maitrâyanî, was filled
45 8 | of the venerable Pûrna, son of Maitrâyani, addressed
46 8 | see this disciple, Pûrna, son of Maitrâyani, whom I have
47 8 | none able to equal Pûrna, son of Maitrâyanî, either essentially
48 8 | also shall this same Pûrna, son of Maitrayanî, be the foremost
49 8 | monks, and hear how my son has achieved his course
50 9 | shalt always be the eldest son of those Lords Buddhas,
51 9 | thou shalt be the eldest son of that Tathâgata Sâgaravaradharabuddhivikrîditâbhigña,
52 9 | Râhula here, my own eldest son, who was born to me when
53 9 | was a prince royal, he, my son, after my reaching enlightenment,
54 9 | these Ginas he shall be a son, striving after enlightenment.~
55 9 | forsooth, the Tathâgata's son.~11. Innumerable myriads
56 9 | appertain to this Râhula, my son; for it has been said: He
57 10| kotis of robes to honour the son of Gina, when he has propounded,
58 11| that resolution from the son of Gina, who is to exert
59 13| forbearing; (as) a (true) son of Sugata he will repeatedly
60 16| been sitting; where that son of Buddha has stayed, there
61 19| promulgating this Sûtra, that son of Gina reached enlightenment.
62 24| Avalokitesvara, she shall get a son, nice, handsome, and beautiful;
63 24| question: For what reason, son of Gina, is Avalokitesvara (
