24 13| CHAPTER XIII. PEACEFUL LIFE.~Mañgusrî, the prince royal, said
25 13| Whereupon the Lord answered Mañgusrî, the prince royal: A Bodhisattva
26 13| Bodhisattva Mahâsattva, Mañgusrî, he who is to promulgate
27 13| Bodhisattva Mahâsattva, Mañgusrî, must be firm in his conduct
28 13| Dharmaparyâya. And how, Mañgusrî, is a Bodhisattva Mahâsattva
29 13| Bodhisattva Mahâsattva, Mañgusrî, is patient, meek, has reached
30 13| envious; when, moreover, Mañgusrî, he clings to no law whatever
31 13| and discussing these laws, Mañgusrî; that is called the conduct
32 13| Bodhisattva Mahâsattva, Mañgusrî? When the Bodhisattva Mahasattva,
33 13| Bodhisattva Mahasattva, Mañgusrî, does not serve, not court,
34 13| even that freely. This, Mañgusrî, is the proper sphere of
35 13| Bodhisattva Mahâsattva.~Again, Mañgusrî, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva
36 13| frequent answers. This, Mañgusrî, is called the first proper
37 13| Bodhisattva Mahasattva.~Further, Mañgusrî, a Bodhisattva Mahâsattva
38 13| perception. In this way then, Mañgusrî, the Bodhisattva Mahâsattva
39 13| in his own sphere. This, Mañgusrî, is the second proper sphere
40 13| his congregation.~Further, Mañgusrî, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva
41 13| hundreds of Æons.~Again, Mañgusrî, the Bodhisattva Mahâsattva
42 13| from love of the law.~Such, Mañgusrî, is the third quality with
43 13| surely protect him.~Further, Mañgusrî, the Bodhisattva Mahâsattva,
44 13| also this fourth quality, Mañgusrî, a Bodhisattva Mahasattva,
45 13| For this Dharmaparyâya, Mañgusrî, has been blessed by all
46 13| and present Tathâgata, Mañgusrî, this Dharmaparyâya is for
47 13| Precious in all worlds, Mañgusrî, is the sound, rumour, or
48 13| Dharmaparyâya.~It is a case, Mañgusrî, similar to that of a king,
49 13| amazed. In the same manner, Mañgusrî, the Tathâgata, the Arhat, &
50 13| fight with Mâra. Then, Mañgusrî, the king of the law, the
51 13| this. just as in that case, Mañgusrî, that king, ruler of armies,
52 13| his head to the last, so, Mañgusrî, the Tathâgata, the Arhat, &
53 13| omniscience to all. For this, Mañgusrî, is the supreme preaching
54 13| world. In the same manner, Mañgusrî, as that king of righteousness
55 13| last) to the soldiers, so, Mañgusrî, the Tathâgata now reveals
56 20| Bodhisattvas, headed by Mañgusrî; the monks, nuns, male and
