1 | never deviating wheel of the law; who had propitiated many
1 | cross-legged on the seat of the law and entered upon the meditation
1 | became all visible, and the law preached by them could be
1 | grand conversations on the law. Therefore will I inquire
1 | showing the essence of the law, comforting many kotis of
1 | observing this rule of the law.~11. And the other sons
1 | ask for the most excellent law, for the sake of bliss;
1 | highest of men about the law, and retain in their memory
1 | self, are preaching the law to many kotis of living
1 | joyfully they proclaim the law, rousing many Bodhisattvas;
1 | they strike the drum of the law.~29. 1 see some sons of
1 | 41. Others set forth the law of quietness, by many myriads
1 | wisdom; they understand the law of indifference and avoid
1 | for the teaching of the law, to pour the great rain
1 | pour the great rain of the law, to make resound the great
1 | resound the great drum of the law, to raise the great banner
1 | the great banner of the law, to kindle the great torch
1 | kindle the great torch of the law, to blow the great conch
1 | great conch trumpet of the law, and to strike the great
1 | the great tymbal of the law. Again, it is the intention
1 | grand exposition of the law this very day. Thus it appears
1 | for the teaching of the law and make his grand speech
1 | his grand speech on the law everywhere heard, he having
1 | and Lord. He showed the law; he revealed the duteous
1 | disciples he preached the law containing the four Noble
1 | Bodhisattvas he preached the law connected with the six Perfections,
1 | to the last, showed the law, revealed the course which
1 | became preachers of the law. While constantly leading
1 | on the same seat of the law, and entered upon the meditation
1 | Lord. All hearers of the law in that assembly, on seeing
1 | called 'the Lotus of the True Law.' He spoke during fully
1 | called 'the Lotus of the True Law,' a text of great development,
1 | termed 'the Lotus of the True Law,' was kept in memory by
1 | Varaprabha, preacher of the law. But do not think so. Why?
1 | Varaprabha, preacher of the law; and that Bodhisattva named
1 | called 'the Lotus of the True Law.'~And on that occasion,
1 | 58. He preached the true law, he, the leader of creatures;
1 | the world proclaimed the law, and revealed to thousands
1 | There on his seat of the law the eminent seer continued
1 | lazuli), they revealed the law in the midst of the assembly.~
1 | meditation.~72. They preach the law in many spheres, and point
1 | Bodhisattva and preacher of the law:~75. 'Thou art wise, the
1 | trustworthy keeper of my law, and canst bear witness
1 | whatever excellent supreme law was proclaimed by the Lord
1 | Gina, the preacher of the law.~78. And after the Gina
1 | had manifested the supreme law and stimulated the numerous
1 | manifested the rule of the law; I have shown the nature
1 | shown the nature of the law; now, O monks, it is the
1 | was the preacher of the law and the keeper of the law,
1 | law and the keeper of the law, Varaprabha, expounded for
1 | time of his teaching the law, was one slothful, covetous,
1 | was the preacher of the law.~96. As on seeing a foretoken
1 | the fixed nature of the law.~99. Be well prepared and
1 | the endless rain of the law and refresh those that are
2 | the world.~7. To whom this law could be explained or who
2 | combined wre to investiage the law which the Sugata has realised;~
2 | skilfulness that I explain the law at great length to the world
2 | saying, 'Profound is the law by me discovered;' of his
2 | being in doubt about the law, then said to the Lord:
2 | saying, 'Profound is the law by me discovered; it is
2 | such a discourse on the law. Those four classes of the
2 | repeatedly extolling the profound law of the Tathâgatas.~On that
2 | kettle-drum! proclaim thy law such as it is. The legitimate
2 | they will understand the law by there expounded.~And
2 | that I sould declare this law! This knowledge is too subtle,
2 | foolishness would scoff at the law revealed.~A third time the
2 | stanzas:~34. Explain the law, O thou most high of men!
2 | who are to believe in the law by thee revealed.~35. And
2 | are to believe in this law.~36. Let the Sugata, seeing
2 | such a discourse on the law as this. just as but now
2 | such a discourse on the law. Believe me, Sâriputra;
2 | for in elucidating the law, Sâriputra, I use hundred
2 | reasoning, Sâriputra, that the law is to be found: it is beyond
2 | do I teach creatures the law; there is no second vehicle,
2 | This is the nature of the law, Sâriputra, universally
2 | creatures, and who preached the law to gods and men with able
2 | Sâriputra, have preached the law to creatures by means of
2 | right path. Such is the law they have preached to creatures.
2 | Sâriputra, who have heard the law from the past Tathâgatas, &
2 | and who shall preach the law to gods and men (&c., as
2 | right path. Such is the law they shall preach to creatures.
2 | Sâriputra, who shall hear the law from the future Tathâgatas, &
2 | and who are preaching the law to gods and men (&c., as
2 | right path. Such is the law they are preaching to creatures.
2 | Sâriputra, who are hearing the law from the present Tathâgatas, &
2 | Sâriputra, am preaching the law to creatures (&c., till)
2 | right path. Such is the law I preach to creatures. And
2 | who now are hearing the law from me, shall all of them
2 | should not believe in the law which he hears from the
2 | sufficient merit to hear this law.~40. My congregation is
2 | me, Sâriputra, how this law has been discovered by the
2 | beings I initiate in this (law) by the aid of manifold
2 | stamp of the nature of the law;~59. Then, Sâriputra, I
2 | hearing or have heard the law from the mouth of the Tathâgatas,
2 | more than the name of the law, have all of them reached
2 | being who, after hearing the law of those (leaders), shall
2 | thousand kotis of heads of the law; in their Tathâgataship
2 | Tathâgataship they shall teach the law by showing the sole vehicle
2 | before-mentioned.~101. The line of the law forms an unbroken continuity
2 | reveal the stability of the law, its being subjected to
2 | directions.~108. I reveal the law in its multifariousness
2 | one; they do not seek the law that leads to the end of
2 | its foot (thinking): This law is wonderful and lofty,
2 | ignorance they will not heed the law I announce, and in consequence
2 | was thus meditating on the law, the other Buddhas in all
2 | I skilfully preached the law to the five Solitaries,
2 | the five Solitaries, that law which is the base of final
2 | that moment the wheel of my law has been moving, and the
2 | when such as had heard the law of the Ginas, owing to the
2 | to announce the excellent law and to reveal supreme enlightenment,
2 | Even as the nature of the law of the former mighty saints
2 | future Ginas is, so is my law free from any doubtfulness,
2 | another preach a similar law.~135. It is most difficult
2 | meet with this superior law, even in myriads of kotis
2 | will adhere to the superior law which they have heard from
2 | far more wonderful is the law I proclaim. Any one who,
2 | that I am the king of the law (Dharmarâga); I am urging
3 | before I had heard of this law from the Lord, I saw other
3 | points [Or, elements] of the law is nominally equal, we have
3 | allsurpassing demonstration of the law, that is, the exposition
3 | lessons pronounced ori the law, therefore, O Lord, I used
3 | eldest son, born from his law, sprung into existence by
3 | sprung into existence by the law, made by the law, inheriting
3 | by the law, made by the law, inheriting from the law,
3 | law, inheriting from the law, accomplished by the law.
3 | law, accomplished by the law. My burning has left me,
3 | have heard this wonderful law, which I had not leant before,
3 | not preach the superior law in the world?~5. 'The thirty-two
3 | lost all doubt about the law I heard.~17. And when thou
3 | and how they preached this law by firmly establishing it
3 | expound or are expounding this law by hundreds of able devices;~
3 | idea of the wheel of the law presented itself to thy
3 | decidedst upon preaching the law;~20. Then I was convinced:
3 | called 'the Lotus of the True Law,' this Sûrânta, &c.~Again,
3 | shalt have learnt the true law of hundred thousand myriads
3 | Sâriputra, will preach the law by the instrumentality of
3 | the Æon, but preach the law by virtue of a vow.~That
3 | same description. The true law, Sâriputra, of that Tathâgata
3 | counterfeit of his true law will last as many intermediate
3 | of the Tathigata the true law will continue thirty-two
3 | gods.~31. When the true law shall have come to an end,
3 | words: The wheel of the law has been put in motion by
3 | the supreme wheel of the law.~And on that occasion those
3 | stanzas:~33. The wheel of the law was put in motion by thee,
3 | thou hast preached this law, which is hard to be received
3 | never before did we hear a law like this.~36. We receive
3 | instructed: 'My preaching of the law, O monks, comes to this,
3 | the mouth of the Lord this law which they had not heard
3 | Tathâgata, &c., preaches the law by able devices, varying
3 | All his preachings of the law have no other end but supreme
3 | to teach all beings the law which is connected with
3 | mywill; I am the ruler of the law, who is born in this world
3 | is the closing word of my law which now at the last time
3 | honour to them, and heard a law similar to this.~108. To
3 | their blindness scorn the law manifested.~112. Now hear
3 | foolish person listen to the law; he is deaf and senseless;
3 | mind, speaks to expound the law, with many myriads of kotis
4 | Mahâ-Maudgalyâyana heard this law unheard of before, and as
4 | Though the Lord preaches the law and has long continued sitting,
4 | to that preaching of the law, yet, O Lord, as we have
4 | commencement; but there is no law - ' in them. When we hear
4 | enlightenment we revealed (the law), and whatever law we taught,
4 | the law), and whatever law we taught, we never had
4 | returning, he preaches the law to those whose course (of
4 | conditioned, he, the Lord of the law, the Lord of all the world,
4 | dispositions he inculcates the law with thousands of arguments.~
4 | preaches a multifarious law, while pointing to this
5 | Kâsyapa, is the master of the law, the king, lord, and master
5 | of all laws. And whatever law for any case has been instituted
5 | ye gods and men! hear the law. I am he who indicates the
5 | beings come to hear the law of the Tathâgata; and the
5 | become pleased with the law in this present life, but
5 | many pleasures and hear the law. By listening to the law
5 | law. By listening to the law they will be freed from
5 | apply themselves to the law of the all-knowing, according
5 | manner, Kâsyapa, is the law preached by the Tathâgata,
5 | the beings who hear the law when it is preached by the
5 | Kâsyapa, who, knowing the law which is of but one essence,
5 | essence of deliverance, (the law) ever peaceful, ending in
5 | ending in Nirvâna, (the law) of eternal rest, having
5 | existence. I declare the law to all beings after discriminating
5 | preach a pure and most bright law that has but one scope,
5 | any one, and proclaim the law to all creatures without
5 | task of proclaiming the law. I never get tired of sitting
5 | correct.~26. I preach the law to the inferior (in mental
5 | in season the rain of the law.~27. After hearing me, each
5 | in the knowledge of the law, which is free from evil
5 | Yet it is one and the same law which is preached by the
5 | Tathâgata, how he preaches one law, the various developments
5 | out rain: the rain of the law by which this whole world
5 | to heart this wellspoken law that is one in its essence.~
5 | is the very nature of the law to promote the everlasting
5 | weal of the world; by the law the whole world is recreated,
5 | accomplish this well-spoken law.~40. (But) the many Bodhisattvas
5 | is the preaching of the law, like the water poured out
5 | produced).~43. I reveal the law which has its cause in itself;
5 | the preaching of the true law proceeds equally in respect
5 | fully acquainted with the law. There are not three vehicles,
5 | caves, to meditate on the law and cast off evil passions.
5 | who do not know the true law and are heaping up the thick
5 | acquiescence in the eternal law awake us to supreme, perfect
5 | assiduous in preaching the law to living beings by means
5 | teacher he shows the true law; he reveals supreme Buddha-enlightenment
5 | and meditate on the pure law; by it thou shalt acquire
5 | discerns that nothingness is law;~81. Such a one has great
5 | and sees the whole of the law entirely. There are no three
6 | and shall keep the true law of those Lords and Buddhas.

7 | wheel of the law: Preach the law, O Lord; preach the law,
7 | law, O Lord; preach the law, O Sugata, for the weal
7 | stanzas:~15. Preach the law, O thou who art marked with
7 | forward the wheel of the law. On seeing which the Brahma-angels
7 | forward the wheel of the law! May the Lord preach final
7 | to this world! Preach the law, O Lord, to this world,
7 | following stanza:~24. Show the law, O Lord; show it, O most
7 | bounteous one, the King of the law.~After the great Brahma-angels,

7 | the Lord's teaching of the law. Deign, O Lord, to teach
7 | also, for mercy's sake, the law with a view to supreme,
7 | called 'the Lotus of the True Law, a text of great extent,
7 | of the Lotus of the True Law, the disciples as well as
7 | of the Lotus of the True Law during eight thousand Æons

7 | Buddha-fields, preaching the law to many hundred thousand
7 | beings who have heard the law from us when we were novices,
7 | that Lord, have taught the law of omniscience? Yourselves,
7 | for the preaching of the law. When the Tathâgata, monks,
7 | faith, penetrated with the law of voidness, devoted to
7 | they prayed: Reveal the law and refresh us as well as
7 | forward the wheel of the law, and celebrated him with

7 | exposed the multifarious law and the four Truths, extensively.
7 | Expound, O Chief, the superior law;~79. 'That we may become

8 | Tathâgata, &c., his true law shall last long, and his
8 | possession of this true law by seeking after Buddha-knowledge.~
8 | preached the perfectly pure law.~11. By exposing the most
8 | timidity he shall preach the law with thousands of kotis
8 | food but pleasure in the law and delight in knowledge.
8 | good.~25. After hearing the law from the highest of men,
8 | that mighty one, his true law shall remain twice as long
8 | times as long. When the true law of that holy one shall he

8 | by me, in preaching the law, you fancy Nirvâna to take

10| lofty conception of the law and the lofty Buddha-field
10| irreproachable preachers of the law and keepers of this Sûtrânta,

10| to that preacher of the law. For it may be that by his
10| 6. That preacher of the law must be honoured with divine
10| spiritual esoteric lore of the law, preserved by the power
10| the secret article of the law which the Tathâgatas, &c.,
10| comprehension I teach the law to creatures.~27. To that
11| of the Lotus of the True Law. So it is, Lord; so it is,
11| of the Lotus of the True Law, serving for the instruction
11| of the Lotus of the True Law, I have become fully ripe
11| of the Lotus of the True Law is propounded, and let it
11| of the Lotus of the True Law is being preached by some
11| of the Lotus of the True Law. It is that Stûpa, Mahâpratibhana,
11| of the Lotus of the True Law in this Saha-world, arose
11| of the Lotus of the True Law, then let this Stûpa of
11| of the Lotus of the True Law. And when those Lords, those
11| body, and preaching the law to creatures, under different
11| thousands of worlds, preach the law to creatures. All those
11| sweet and gentle voice the law to creatures; and those
11| east were preaching the law to creatures in hundred
11| of the Lotus of the True Law. I repeat, thou hast well
11| of the Lotus of the True Law, Lord Sâkyamuni, to the (
11| of the Lotus of the True Law.~Now the four classes of
11| of the Lotus of the True Law in this Saha-world? The
11| of the Lotus of the True Law.~And on that occasion the
11| now has come to hear the law. Who would not call up his
11| call up his energy for the law's sake?~2. Albeit completely
11| yet now comes to hear the law; for the law's sake he moves
11| to hear the law; for the law's sake he moves hither and
11| and very precious) is a law like this.~3. This Leader
11| they have appeared that the law may be fulfilled I and in
11| order to preserve the true law, as long as the reign of
11| long as the reign of the law shall last,~6. I have by
11| care how this line of the law might be manifested. So (
11| himself to expound this law.~13. And thereby shall I
11| in order to hear such a law as this.~14. And these (
11| world, were to expound the law and thousands of other Sûtras,
11| thousand divisions of the law and expound them, with the
11| extinction shall keep my sublime law.~34. I have often, in thousands
11| of worlds, preached the law, and to-day also I preach
11| of the Lotus of the True Law, during immense, immeasurable
11| the rule of a King of the Law for the sake of duty, not
11| went in quest of the best law in the four quarters, and
11| called the Lotus of the True Law, which is an exposition
11| an exposition of the best law. If thou consent to become
11| I will teach thee that law. And I, glad, content, exulting
11| Dhârmika, the King of the Law, and exercised the royal
11| the Sûtra called the True Law.~44. He said to me: If thou
11| for the sake of the true law. I did my best for real
11| kalpas. He shall preach the law in extension, and beings
11| Tathâgata Devarâgu, his true law shall stay twenty intermediate
11| of the Lotus of the True Law, and by doing so be relieved
11| settle some point of the law. And at the same moment,
