 1 9|       OF THE FUTURE DESTINY OF ÂNANDA, RAHULA, AND THE TWO THOUSAND
 2 9|    that occasion the venerable Ânanda made this reflection: Should
 3 9|        and the same wish as in Ânanda, prostrated himself at the
 4 9|        addressed the venerable Ânanda in these words: Thou, Ânanda,
 5 9|   Ânanda in these words: Thou, Ânanda, shalt in future become
 6 9|      that Lord. Twice as long, Ânanda, after the complete extinction
 7 9|      counterfeit. And further, Ânanda, many hundred thousand myriads
 8 9|      men of good family, I and Ânanda have in the same moment,
 9 9|        men of good family, he (Ânanda) constantly and assiduously
10 9|    that occasion the venerable Ânanda uttered the following stanzas:~
11 9|        addressed the venerable Ânanda : Seest thou, Ânanda, these
12 9| venerable Ânanda : Seest thou, Ânanda, these two thousand disciples,
13 9|      these two thousand monks, Ânanda, shall simultaneously accomplish
