E.N. From where do you derive the materials for your books?

V.E. In any event, different evidence about twentieth century ascetics of piety comes to me. Here it is needed to call the elder of the Danilov monastery Archimandrite Georgii (Lavrov). The work for the memory of Elena Vladimirovna Chicherina was prepared and commented by me. The book was published in the collection “Trinity Word” in the ninth and tenth issues. After that, I succeeded to write something about the Archimandrite Seraphim (Tjapochkin) in the Belgorogskii region in village of Rakitnoe from the word of a living witness. After that, was a work on the woman monk Maria (Makovkina), from the spiritual offspring of the monk Varnava, who died in 1971, and on the helper of this monk, Father Porfirii. These works are awaiting publication but they have already entered into the canonization materials for the glorification of the elder monk Varnava Gefsimanskii. What is next will be however God gives. Little by little I am gathering material about Patriarch Sergie.
