 1   1, 1|          beauty on Sarayu's limpid wave!~Peaceful lived the righteous
 2   2, 5|            and of Sindhu's western wave,~Brave Saurashtras and the
 3   3, 1|          skim the cool translucent wave!~Years will pass in happy
 4   3, 5|         water from Tamasa's limpid wave,~And performing night's
 5   3, 5|     starlight dark Tamasa's limpid wave.~On the farther bank a pathway,
 6   3, 5|          people by Tamasa's limpid wave,~Saw not Rama and his consort,
 7   3, 6|        Sita ventured on the sacred wave.~And by royal Rama bidden
 8   3, 6|          mingles with dark Jumna's wave,~And they crost the shady
 9   3, 7|         and they sipped the sacred wave,~To the hill of Chitra-kuta
10   3, 8|           came from Ganga's sacred wave,~And unto Ayodhya's monarch,
11   5, 3|     creeper bending o'er the lucid wave,~Where the bank with soft
12   5, 4|        daylight, Godavari's limpid wave!~Rich of hue, with eye of
13   5, 4|       tear-drop fell on Godavari's wave,~True once more to righteous
14   7, 6|      waters mix with Ganga's ruddy wave,~And where Jumna's dark
15   7, 6|        cattle on the eastern ocean wave.~Seek where clans of skilful
16   7, 6| Tamra-parni, gemmed upon the ocean wave!"~To Susena chief and elder,--

18   8, 1|      island girded by the sapphire wave,~And in tireless quest of

23  10, 2|            sinks the vessel in the wave!~Mark the ring of hopeful
24  11, 1|          came your vassal o'er the wave,~To assist a fallen woman
25  11, 4|          let our flags and colours wave,~On the gates of proud Ayodhya
