2 2, 1| wealth and gold,~Stainless monarchs versed in sastra, pious-hearted,
3 2, 3| Mark this bow, assembled monarchs, and the target hung an
4 2, 4| this noble wedding feast,~Monarchs from more distant regions
5 2, 4| But the other chiefs and monarchs with their eyes upon the
6 2, 5| the distant aim,~Alighty monarchs, gallant princes, chiefs
7 2, 5| monarch, mightiest of the monarchs he,~Other kings had failed
8 2, 6| Wield the bow which crownéd monarchs, long-armed chieftains have
9 2, 6| And amidst this throng of monarchs shame will be our only meed,~
10 2, 6| Rather, in this throng of monarchs, rich renown and honour
11 2, 6| bend and strain,~And the monarchs of the wide earth sought
12 2, 7| Monarch proud who insults monarchs sure a traitor's death shall
13 2, 7| age,~Perish foe of crownéd monarchs, victim to our righteous
14 2, 7| this concourse of great monarchs, glorious like a heavenly
15 2, 7| disgrace in future ages monarchs shall not meet again!"~Spake
16 2, 7| On they came, the angry monarchs, armed for cruel vengeful
17 2, 7| With a wilder rage the monarchs viewed these brothers cross
18 2, 8| Krishna rose amidst the monarchs, strove the tumult to appease,~
19 2, 8| words of righteous peace,~Monarchs bowed to Krishna's mandate,
20 3 | and was killed; but other monarchs recognised the supremacy
21 3, 1| Brahmans known to fame.~Monarchs came from distant regions
22 3, 2| to hail him Dharma-raja, monarchs thronged his royal halls,~
23 3, 2| Honoured thus, the mighty monarchs lived in mansions milky
24 3, 2| tribute which the chiefs and monarchs paid,~Pious Krishna unto
25 3, 3| Holy priests and noble monarchs graced the inner sacred
26 3, 3| As he saw the gathered monarchs in the concourse proud and
27 3, 3| Who had sent the gods as monarchs to uphold his righteous
28 3, 4| domain,~Honour due to crowned monarchs doth our sacred law ordain,~
29 3, 4| Noble are these crownéd monarchs, radiant like the noonday
30 3, 4| Who of chiefs and crownéd monarchs doth our foremost honour
31 3, 4| without a peer~Midst these monarchs pure in lustre, purest-hearted
32 3, 5| Midst these mighty crownéd monarchs in their kingly pomp arrayed,~
33 3, 5| In this throng of crownéd monarchs, ruling kings of righteous
34 3, 6| O chiefs and righteous monarchs! from a daughter of our
35 3, 6| that never missed its aim,~"Monarchs in this hall assembled!"
36 3, 6| Various feelings away the monarchs as they stand in hushed
37 3, 7| righteous lord,~All the monarchs made obeisance, spake in
38 3, 7| Grant us, king of mighty monarchs, now unto our realms we
39 3, 7| Good Yudhishthir to the monarchs parting grace and honours
40 3, 7| To our feast these noble monarchs came from loyal love they
41 3, 7| Other chiefs with other monarchs where their distant kingdoms
42 3, 7| By thy all-subduing glory monarchs bore Yudhishthir's sway,~
43 4 | the besetting sins of the monarchs of the day. Sakuni was an

61 12, 1| kindly greetings went to monarchs far-renowned,~Asked them
62 12, 2| And the concourse of the monarchs view the splendour of the
63 12, 2| Noble chiefs and mighty monarchs gaze in wonder on the site,~
64 12, 2| Viands fit for crownéd monarchs were unto the Brahmans given,~
65 12, 5| And the concourse of the monarchs grace Yudhishthir's regal
66 12, 5| And the grateful parting monarchs blessed Yudhishthir's hallowed
