1 2, 1| Now it fell, the saintly rishi, deathless bard of deathless
2 2, 6| or fortune great,~Son of rishi Jamadagni baffled kings
3 2, 6| high,~And Agastya stainless rishi drained the boundless ocean
4 3, 3| heavenly wisdom lit the rishi's inner eye,~As he saw the
5 3, 5| grace?~Unto Krishna as a rishi should the foremost rank
6 5 | plighted word.~The great rishi Vyasa came to visit Yudhishthir,
7 5, 1| sires.~Markandeya, holy rishi, once unto Yudhishthir came,~
8 5, 1| Dost thou, sage and saintly rishi, know of wife or woman born,~
9 5, 1| Listen, monarch!" said the rishi, "to a tale of ancient date,~
10 5, 2| befall,~When the king and rishi Narad sat within the royal
11 5, 2| and saw her royal father, rishi Narad by his seat,~Bent
12 5, 3| Maiden! speak unto the rishi, and thy choice and secret

19 5, 3| choose another happier lord,~Rishi Narad speaketh wisdom, list
20 5, 3| Monarch!" uttered then the rishi, "fixed is she in mind and
21 5, 3| rest to gracious Heaven!"~"Rishi and preceptor holy!" so
22 5, 4| dark remembrance of the rishi Narad's word,~Pale she watched
23 12, 5| But the bard and ancient rishi who the holy Vedas spake,~
