4 5, 1| memories of his shame,~"Pardon, father! " said Yudhishthir, "
5 5, 3| holy Narad counsels well,~Pardon witless maiden's fancy,
6 5, 4| morning prayers are prayed,"~"Pardon, father," said Savitri, "
7 6, 3| the fair Draupadi shine,~Pardon, prince, these rings and
8 6, 3| these rings and bangles, pardon strange unmanly guise,~'
9 6, 5| princess fair and young!~"Pardon, monarch," answered Arjun, "
10 8, 3| the noble Bhishma fight?~Pardon, chief, if for the Pandavs
11 8, 3| he bent to him his knee:~"Pardon, Krishna, this compulsion,
12 8, 3| Krishna, this compulsion, pardon this transgression bold,~

16 10, 2| in humble accents said:~"Pardon, great and saintly monarch,
17 10, 2| vassal's disrespectful word,~Pardon, elder, if a younger heedless
18 10, 2| unto Arjun than his life,~Pardon if the blood of anger mantled
19 10, 2| mantled o'er this rugged brow,~Pardon if I drew my sabre 'gainst
20 10, 3| Vengeful Arjun will not pardon gallant Abhimanyu dead!~
