 1   3, 3|         rite!~Deva-rishi, saintly Narad, marked the sacrificial
 2   3, 3|         As in lofty contemplation Narad gazed upon the rite.~
 3   4, 5|           the truth from heavenly Narad, happy is thy mortal lot,~
 4   5, 2|           When the king and rishi Narad sat within the royal hall,~
 5   5, 2|           her royal father, rishi Narad by his seat,~Bent her head
 6   5, 3| BRIDEGROOM~"Whence comes she," so Narad questioned, "whither was
 7   5, 3|          Thoughtful was the rishi Narad, doleful were the words
 8   5, 3|        him shineth," so the rishi Narad said,~"BRIHASPATI'S wisdom
 9   5, 3|       another happier lord,~Rishi Narad speaketh wisdom, list unto
10   5, 3|        thy honoured mandate, holy Narad counsels well,~Pardon witless
11   5, 3|           thy mandate is obeyed!"~Narad wished him joy and gladness,
12   5, 4|        morning, pondered still on Narad's word!~Nearer came the
13   5, 4|         fatal morning by the holy Narad told,~Fair Savitri reckoned
14   5, 4|          remembrance of the rishi Narad's word,~Pale she watched
15   5, 4|        she laid him on the sward,~Narad's fatal words remembered
