3 3 | teacher of gods and men, a Buddha, a Bhagavat. And again during
4 4 | thus also the voice of Buddha is of infinite sound; his
5 4 | kings; and I, having become Buddha, and a master of the Law,
6 4 | duties, and shall become a Buddha, the saviour of all beings. (
7 4 | quickly show my happiness. May Buddha there teach me the truth,-
8 5 | all good qualities of a Buddha country!'~'After this, O
9 5 | and good qualities of a Buddha country? "~'He said: "O
10 5 | all the good qualities of Buddha countries of the other Tathagatas,
11 5 | excellences and good qualities of Buddha countries belonging to eighty-one
12 5 | might never be an end of Buddha countries, having conceived
13 6 | good qualities of those Buddha countries, of those eighty-one
14 6 | concentrating them all on one Buddha country, worshipped with
15 6 | and good qualities of the Buddha countries, such as had never
16 7 | his mind a perfection of a Buddha country eighty-one times
17 7 | thousand niyutas of kotis of Buddha countries that had been
18 7 | and good qualities of the Buddha countries has been concentrated
19 7 | the good qualities of a Buddha country."~'Then, O Ananda,
20 7 | perfect knowledge, my own Buddha country will then be endowed
21 8 | O Bhagavat, if in that Buddha country of mine there should
22 8 | O Bhagavat, if in that Buddha country of mine the beings
23 8 | O Bhagavat, if in that Buddha country of mine the beings

56 8 | various beauty, saying: 'That Buddha country possesses so much
57 8 | O Bhagavat, if in that Buddha country of mine, after I
58 8 | O Bhagavat, if in that Buddha country of mine, after I
59 8 | 29. "O Bhagavat, if that Buddha country of mine, after I
60 8 | inconceivable, incomparable, immense Buddha countries, as a round face
61 8 | O Bhagavat, if in that Buddha country of mine, after I
62 8 | O Bhagavat, if in that Buddha country of mine, after I
63 8 | inconceivable, incomparable, immense Buddha countries on all sides,
64 8 | inconceivable, incomparable, immense Buddha countries on all sides,
65 8 | inconceivable, incomparable, immense Buddha countries round about in
66 8 | at the same time in that Buddha country, after I have obtained
67 8 | Bodhisattvas who are born in that Buddha country of mine, after I
68 8 | excellent ornaments in that Buddha country, as they should
69 8 | Bodhisattvas who are born in other Buddha countries, when they have
70 8 | in a place of a different Buddha country, should not obtain
71 8 | having heard my name in Buddha countries different from
72 8 | Bodhisattvas who live in other Buddha countries, after hearing
73 8 | beings who are born in that Buddha country of mine, after I
74 8 | Bodhisattvas in this and other Buddha countries, as soon as they
75 8 | Bodhisattvas who hear my name in Buddha countries, and obtain the
76 8 | should turn away again from Buddha, the Law, and the Church,
77 9 | time, through the grace of Buddha spoke these verses:~1. "
78 9 | the broad and many endless Buddha countries, may I not be
79 9 | infinite, has illuminated all Buddha countries in all the quarters,
80 9 | raised the lion-voice of Buddha.~9. "After having worshipped
81 9 | saying: " Thou wilt be a Buddha in the world."~
82 10| proclaiming this purity of the Buddha country, this greatness
83 10| greatness and excellency of the Buddha country, and performing
84 10| the Church, the Law, and Buddha, always girded for the performance
85 11| western quarter, in the Buddha country, distant fr-om this
86 11| thousand niyutas of kotis of Buddha countries, in the world
87 11| endless perfection of his Buddha country.~
88 12| illuminating so many hundreds of Buddha countries, so many thousands
89 12| countries, so many thousands of Buddha countries, so many hundred
90 12| many hundred thousands of Buddha countries, so many kotis
91 12| countries, so many kotis of Buddha countries, so many hundred
92 12| so many hundred kotis of Buddha countries, so many thousand
93 12| so many thousand kotis of Buddha countries, so many hundred
94 12| hundred thousands of kotis of Buddha countries, so many hundred
95 12| thousands of niyutas of kotis of Buddha countries. l3ut indeed,
96 12| thousand niyutas of kotis of Buddha countries, equal to the
97 12| thousand niyutas of kotis of Buddha countries, like the sands
98 16| disagreeable to hear. That Buddha country, O Ananda, is always
99 17| mountains anywhere in that Buddha country, nor anywhere jewel
100 17| kings of mountains. And that Buddha country is level on every
101 18| delightful, and the whole Buddha country is arousedbyit.
102 18| for instance, the sound " Buddha, Dharma (the Law), Sangha (
103 19| kinds of perfumes the whole Buddha country is scented. And
104 19| and scents, then the whole Buddha country shines with such
105 19| very best cloaks the whole Buddha country shines. And the
106 19| jewels, then they see that Buddha country shining with such
107 21| with these flowers that Buddha country is adorned on every
108 21| scents and colours that Buddha country is shining on every
109 21| anything behind. Then that Buddha country is again clean,
110 22| 22. 'And in that Buddha country, O Ananda, no mention
111 24| again, O Ananda, in that Buddha country whatever beings
112 26| each of them, in all the Buddha countries equal in number
113 27| excessive desire towards that Buddha country, and direct the
114 28| died, be born in the same Buddha country.~
115 29| their desire towards that Buddha country, and who will feel
116 29| their desire toward that Buddha country, they also will
117 30| again, O Ananda, in that Buddha country, Bodhisattvas equal
118 30| excellences belonging to that Buddha country.'~
119 31| verses:~1. 'As there are Buddha countries equal to the sand
120 31| Bodhisattvas come to worship the Buddha, the lord Amitayu;~2. 'And
121 31| manner there are as many Buddha countries in the southern,
122 31| Bodhisattvas to worship the Buddha, the lord Amitayu.~4. 'And
123 31| thus: "Oh, the country of Buddha shines wonderfully!"~6. '
124 31| cover the whole body of Buddha.~8. 'These Bodhisattvas
125 31| because we have come to this Buddha country. See this dream-like
126 31| thousand kalpas.~10. '"Look,the Buddha possessed of a mass of the
127 31| up the thousand kotis of Buddha countries.~12. 'And all
128 31| Sukhavati in order to see the Buddha, having heard it and having
129 31| highest wisdom."~17. 'Then Buddha Amitayu preaches: "This
130 34| again, O Ananda, in that Buddha country, those who are Sravakas
131 34| there, having left this Buddha country here.~'And, O Ananda,
132 34| who have been born in that Buddha country are all endowed
133 36| who have been born in that Buddha country are not deprived
134 36| deprived of the sight of Buddha, nor liable to fall down (
135 37| who have been born in that Buddha country, having gone during
136 37| like, through the favour of Buddha. They consider in many ways
137 38| who have been born in that Buddha country recite the story
138 38| And for the beings in that Buddha country there exists no
139 38| and walking through that Buddha country feel neither pleasure
140 38| devoted to the music of Buddha, they discard the eye of
141 38| Law, producing the eye of Buddha, showing it, lighting it,
142 38| entrance into the knowledge of Buddha difficult to comprehend,
143 38| are the beings in that Buddha country, stated briefly.
144 39| that even the most distar Buddha country was shining with
145 39| hundred thousand kotis of Buddha countries; all these were
146 39| men and not-men, in this Buddha country, saw at that time
147 39| Bhikshus, viz. by the grace of Buddha, from the pureiless of that
148 39| whatever to be seen in that Buddha courtry, except Sravakas,
149 40| and good qualities in that Buddha country; and above in the
150 40| birds, making the whole Buddha country resound with the
151 40| resound with the voice of Buddha, so that those Bodhisattvas
152 40| never without meditating on Buddha?'~Agita said: 'I see, O
153 41| Agita, who, living in other Buddha countries, entertain doubt
154 41| Agita, who, living in other Buddha countries, raise their thought
155 41| the perfect knowledge of Buddha and in their own stock of
156 41| but doubt the knowledge of Buddha. They are born in that world
157 41| through the hearing of Buddha's name, and through the
158 42| have gone away from this Buddha country, or from the side
159 42| are gone away from this Buddha country, who will be born
160 43| order that they may see the Buddha country of that blessed
161 43| qualities peculiar to his own Buddha country.~'And, O Agita,
162 43| and unfailing knowledge of Buddha. Do not enter into the dungeon
163 43| For indeed, the birth of a Buddha, O Agita, is difficult to
164 44| any delight in the laws of Buddha; those who have worshipped
165 44| who have worshipped in the Buddha countries learn the service
166 44| Sravaka in the knowledge of Buddha; how then should beings
167 44| who are ignorant!~5. 'The Buddha only knows the virtues of
168 44| only knows the virtues of a Buddha; but not gods, Nagas, Asuras,
169 44| when the knowledge of a Buddha is being manifested.~6. '
170 44| tell all the virtues of one Buddha.~7. 'Thereupon they would
171 44| measure of the knowledge of a Buddha would not be reached, for
172 44| should utter speech, saying, "Buddha is wise."~9. 'Now and then
173 44| is found, now and then a Buddha appears, knowledge of the
