 1 4 |     This faith God imputes for righteousness in His sight. Rom. 3 and
 2 16|      Gospel teaches an eternal righteousness of the heart. Meanwhile,

 4 18|        Holy Ghost, to work the righteousness of God, that is, spiritual
 5 18|        God, that is, spiritual righteousness; since the natural man receiveth
 6 18|     God, 1 Cor. 2,14; but this righteousness is wrought in the heart
 7 20|   their sermons concerning the righteousness of faith, while only the
 8 20| volumes, defends grace and the righteousness of faith, over against the
 9 20|       who dream that Christian righteousness is nothing but civil and
10 20|        civil and philosophical righteousness.~Heretofore consciences
11 20|       wit, that we have grace, righteousness, and forgiveness of sins

13 26|   doctrine of grace and of the righteousness of faith has been obscured
14 26|   order to show that Christian righteousness is something else than such
15 26|        we must merit grace and righteousness. In treating of repentance,
16 26|   heard any consolation of the righteousness of faith and grace. We see
17 26|  doctrine of grace, and of the righteousness of faith; which, however,
18 27| monastic life not only merited righteousness before God but even greater
19 27|  instituted to merit grace and righteousness; yea, they preach that it
20 27|        teaches everywhere that righteousness is not to be sought from
21 27|        to obscure and deny the righteousness of faith? It follows, therefore,
22 27| service justifies men. For the righteousness of faith, which chiefly
23 28|     eternal things, as eternal righteousness, the Holy Ghost, eternal
24 28|       sins, or merit grace and righteousness. For the glory of Christ'

26 28|       into the Church when the righteousness of faith was not taught
