 2    3,   4    |                 and in the history of Israel there was no lack of prophets
 3    3,   4    |            God's part. The Lord loves Israel with the love of a special

 5    3,   4    |             He is their Father,47 for Israel is His firstborn son48;
 6    3,   4    |           life of the whole people of Israel and each of its sons and
 7    3,   4    |            sin - as also the whole of Israel, which had entered into
 8    3,   4(52)|             that God established with Israel. This covenant was, on God'
 9    3,   4(52)|                a gift and a grace for Israel. Nevertheless, since, in
10    3,   4(52)|             ceased to oblige whenever Israel broke the covenant and did
11    3,   4(52)|             for your sake, O house of Israel, that I am about to act,
12    3,   4(52)|                 Ez. 36:22). Therefore Israel, although burdened with
13    3,   4(52)|              and also of the whole of Israel; and finally in readiness
14    3,   4    |             truth, once proclaimed to Israel, involves a perspective
15    4,   5    |               recalls the election of Israel, she proclaims the mercy
16    4,   5    |          Zechariah blesses the God of Israel and glorifies Him for performing
17    4,   5    | unfaithfulness of the whole people of Israel, although the analogy of
18    5,   7    |        limited to a single people, to Israel, but is open to each and
19    5,   9    |              complex events, first of Israel, then of every individual
20    6,  10    |         concerns not only the past of Israel but also the whole future
