  4    1,   1|             In many and various ways God spoke of old to our fathers
  5    1,   1|            the history of man within God's loving plan. God entered
  6    1,   1|            within God's loving plan. God entered the history of humanity
  7    1,   1|              Through the Incarnation God gave human life the dimension
  8    1,   1|             with the full freedom of God - and he has granted it
  9    1,   2|        develop that inheritance with God's help.~Through these two
 10    1,   3|      solidity of the whole People of God, aware of their salvific
 11    1,   3|         means of intimate union with God, and of the unity of all
 12    1,   4|         pontificate, I keep thanking God that this great Predecessor
 13    1,   4|        mission of salvation for all: God "desires all men to be saved

 19    2,   7|        Christ, the Son of the living God"35. He, the Son of the living

 21    2,   7|              and reconciliation with God, and the pledge of eternal
 22    2,   8|              repeats several times: "God saw that it was good"38.

 24    2,   8|            Wisdom and Love. Indeed, "God so loved the world that
 25    2,   8|            revelation of the sons of God"44, the creation that "was

 28    2,   8|             of Adam that likeness to God which had been disfigured
 29    2,   8|          Incarnation, he, the son of God, in a certain way united
 30    2,   9|        Christ, the Son of the living God, become our reconciliation
 31    2,   9|         making him "little less than God"49, in that he was created "
 32    2,   9|            and after the likeness of God".50. He and he alone also
 33    2,   9|         satisfied that fatherhood of God and that love which man
 34    2,   9|             the later covenants that God "again and again offered
 35    2,   9|      Firstborn Son to bé children of God54 and called to grace, called
 36    2,   9|            the eternal fatherhood of God, who in him draws near again
 37    2,   9|             and death of Christ. The God of creation is revealed
 38    2,   9|          creation is revealed as the God of redemption, as the God
 39    2,   9|            God of redemption, as the God who is "faithful to himself"56,
 40    2,   9|             Therefore "for our sake (God) made him (the Son) to be
 41    2,   9|           that is he himself, since "God is love"58. Above all, love
 42    2,   9|             revealing of the sons of God"61, who are called to the
 43    2,  10|             not only of adoration of God but also of deep wonder
 44    2,  10|          great a Redeemer"65, and if God "gave his only Son "in order
 45    2,  10|      humanity towards the mystery of God, to help all men to be familiar

 51    2,  11|             those "violent people of God "that we have so often seen
 52    2,  12|              truth revealed to us by God imposes on us an obligation.

 68    4,  18|           community of the People of God on earth, and we likewise
 69    4,  19|           which is the "property" of God himself, since even he, "
 70    4,  19|              sharers in knowledge of God as a response to his revealed
 71    4,  19|           the whole of the People of God with a special sense of
 72    4,  19|        divine truth and brings close God's very reality, because
 73    4,  19|  understanding and interpretation of God's Word; we need that theology.
 74    4,  19|            the Church, the People of God, to be able to share creatively
 75    4,  19|           the whole of the People of God.~As in preceding ages, and
 76    4,  19| understanding of truth, which has in God its one supreme source.
 77    4,  19|            to assemble the People of God around Christ, prepares
 78    4,  19|           the whole of the People of God in the prophetic office
 79    4,  19|             members of the People of God, they all have their own
 80    4,  20|              proof of the value that God himself sets on man and

 88    4,  20|   limitations to the need to turn to God in an ever more mature way
 89    4,  20|             of guilt and of trust in God, placing himself like the
 90    4,  20|             like the Psalmist before God to confess: "Against you...
 91    4,  21|              Church as the People of God - by showing the threefold
 92    4,  21|             in which we become truly God's People - the Second Vatican
 93    4,  21|             picture of the People of God and recalling the place
 94    4,  21|           community of the People of God and for each member of it
 95    4,  21|              Church as the People of God is also - according to the
 96    4,  21|           community of the People of God, which is so vast and so
