Chapter

 1 I   |          in regard to which the Lord will certainly sift His
 2 I   |        just the judgment of the Lord. But the judging properly
 3 I   |     which even now cleanses the Lord's threshing-floor--the Church,
 4 II  |       is the appointment of the Lord for the trial of faith,
 5 II  |       the living God unless the Lord grant leave, either that
 6 II  |        his property, unless the Lord had said, "Behold, all that
 7 II  | afterwards, at his request, the Lord had granted him this permission
 8 II  |    special allowance, since the Lord in the Gospel says to Peter, "
 9 II  |           And the Spirit of the LORD," says Scripture, "departed
10 II  |         an evil spirit from the LORD troubled and stifled him; "
11 III |         ye not know that God is Lord of all? And if it is God'
12 IV  |    Unless, as it depends on the Lord, one either perishes irrationally,
13 V   |      shunned. What else did the Lord mean to show us by this
14 VI  |         that declaration of the Lord, that they may use it as
15 VI  |   mindful of the precept of the Lord, bear this solemn testimony
16 VI  |   Jerusalem, for the name of my Lord Jesus Christ." And so they
17 VI  |      said, "Let the will of the Lord be done." What was the will
18 VI  |        What was the will of the Lord? Certainly no longer to
19 VI  |  adduced that prior will of the Lord, in which He had commanded
20 VI  |   specially for them; or if the Lord wished it to continue, the
21 VII |    whether also the rest of our Lord's ordinances accord with
22 VII |        out. But it is said, the Lord, providing for the weakness
23 IX  |     then, we must do it for the Lord. This cannot be fulfilled
24 IX  |        sure to be so before the Lord. Do not be ashamed; righteousness
25 X   |      But, seeing it is from the Lord you flee, you taunt all
26 X   |  prophet also had fled from the Lord, he had crossed over from
27 X   |        on the protection of the Lord; or, if you will, having
28 X   |      presence, says, "It is the Lord, He is mighty. All things

34 XII |      suffer for the name of the Lord, not that he should be bought
35 XII |       Him; and not only for the Lord Himself, nay, but likewise
36 XII |       place to the glory of the Lord, if by tribute we should
37 XIII|         the declarations of the Lord have reasons and laws of
38 XIII|         ill the business of the Lord which had been entrusted
39 XIII|         the reason given by the Lord, that when grace began to
40 XIV |   observe the ordinances of the Lord? To be sure, just as the
41 XIV |       it off, for they have the Lord Himself, One who will stand
