Chapter

 1 9     | receiving its ensigns,--gold, to wit, and odours. "The spoils,"
 2 9     |     conduct thee"--the virtue to wit, of the spiritual grace
 3 9     |        of prophet announcing (to wit) the divine will; just as
 4 9     |     origin is to be deduced,--to wit, through Mary. For He was
 5 10    |       their sect," --whereby, to wit, they persecuted Christ: "
 6 10    |        sublimity,--the cross, to wit; that, according to the
 7 10    |    humility,"--from the ends, to wit, of the cross, as we have
 8 10    |      being shown,--in return, to wit, for the injury of a death
 9 12    |      darkness"--of ignorance, to wit. And if these blessings
10 13    |          ever since the time, to wit, when "Israel knew not"
11 14conc|       how to bear infirmity:" to wit as having been set by the
12 14conc|          Him--the instigator, to wit, of Judas the traitor--who
13 14conc|    Solomon,--a temporal king, to wit, who reigned over Israel
