Chapter
1 I | and to guard it, that you may be able perhaps to bestow
2 II | hindrances equally of the soul, may have accompanied you as
3 II | which also your relatives may have attended you. There
4 II | Wherefore, O blessed, you may regard yourselves as having
5 II | translated from a prison to, we may say, a place of safety.
6 II | judges themselves. Sadness may be there for him who sighs
7 II | present loss, that after gains may be the larger. Thus far
8 III| everything, that bodies and minds may not shrink at having to
9 III| stringent discipline, that they may have their physical powers
10 III| the apostle, "that they may obtain a corruptible crown."
11 III| goal of final judgment we may be brought forth well disciplined
12 IV | that you, O holy women, may be worthy of your sex. It
13 IV | praise of their fellows, I may say, despise the sword,
14 VI | set our minds to bear, we may get instruction. How often,
15 VI | beasts torn men in pieces, it may be in their own forests,
16 VI | their own forests, or it may be in the heart of cities,
17 VI | sort of contumely ! One may even suffer in the cause
