 1      I, 23|        enemy is preceded by the precept of your loving your neighbour
 2      I, 23| neighbour as yourself; and this precept, although coming from the
 3     II, 21|      then ordered by the direct precept of God, a divine one. And
 4     IV, 9 |      the leper disregarding the precept of the law by a contempt
 5     IV, 9 |          therefore He gave this precept. Well, what then? Has He
 6     IV, 11|        by Jeremiah He gave this precept, "Break up for yourselves
 7     IV, 16|                        XVI. THE PRECEPT OF LOVING ONE'S ENEMIES.
 8     IV, 16|         Creator included in one precept by His prophet Isaiah: "
 9     IV, 16|   cannot stand if it is not the precept of the Creator, who promises
10     IV, 16|       shows me no reward to his precept I mean no fruit of such
11     IV, 16|      latter a new and different precept, (I have to reply) that
12     IV, 16|      publish any summary of the precept in question, which had hitherto
13     IV, 16|         in the matter of such a precept. This, however, was not
14     IV, 16|       myself; and therefore the precept developed in the Gospel
15     IV, 23|         the intervention of any precept of the law, commanded that
16     IV, 24|       them that He received his precept also! When Elisha sent on
17     IV, 24|      exonerated from blame that precept of the Creator about depriving
18     IV, 25|          and introducing no new precept other than that which relates
19     IV, 28|     comes from the Creator, the precept will only be His by whom
20     IV, 29|     accord. He who had sown the precept, was now pressing to an
21     IV, 34|        contrary to Moses, whose precept He partially defends, I
22     IV, 36|      wanting to them? This very precept, however, about giving to
23      V, 4 | neighbour as myself, since this precept must have ceased together
24      V, 4 |        concentrated in this one precept! But this condensation of
25      V, 4 |          it is evident that the precept, "Thou shalt love thy neighbour
26      V, 4 |         and then a diversity of precept may argue a difference of
27      V, 5 |     Surely in Him who gave this precept. Unless, forsooth, the Creator
28      V, 10|         says, Let us bear, as a precept; not We shall bear, in the
29      V, 14|    which is good." Well, is the precept different in the Creator'
30      V, 14|     unto which is the Creator's precept:) "Thou shalt not remember
31      V, 14| teaching of the Creator in this precept of His: "Thou shalt love
32      V, 14|       is fulfilled in this same precept, but not the Creator's Christ,
33      V, 16|      strict accordance with the precept of Him who ordered that "
34      V, 18|     wine, wherein is excess," a precept which is suggested by the
