Chapter

 1 I    |                      I.~Since the Lord warns us, saying, "Ye are
 2 I    |          endeavoured to tempt the Lord Himself: he secretly approached
 3 IV   |         summary of the truth. The Lord speaks to Peter, saying, "
 4 IV   |   designated in the person of our Lord, and says, "My dove, my
 5 IV   |         hope of your calling, one Lord, one faith, one baptism,
 6 V    |        over with the light of the Lord, sheds forth her rays over
 7 VI   |        outside of the Church. The Lord warns, saying, "He who is
 8 VI   |         the Church of Christ. The Lord says, "I and the Father
 9 VII  |        the Gospel the coat of the Lord Jesus Christ is not at all
10 VII  |        pieces; for thus saith the Lord, Behold, I will rend the
11 VIII |      brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all
12 VIII |       Christ, and the holy of the Lord, cannot be sent abroad,
13 X    |           maintain unity. But the Lord permits and suffers these
14 XI   |           people of this kind the Lord cries; from these He restrains
15 XI   |           out of the mouth of the Lord. They say to those who cast
16 XI   |        evil thoughts." Again, the Lord points out and designates
17 XI   |        since they have broken the Lord's peace with the madness
18 XII  | interpretation, in respect of the Lord having said, "Wheresoever
19 XII  |           of one section. For the Lord, when He would urge unanimity
20 XII  |      Source of the truth. But the Lord speaks concerning His Church,

25 XV   |         receive their reward. The Lord in His Gospel, when He would
26 XV   |         brief summary, said, "The Lord thy God is one God: and
27 XV   |           and thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart,
28 XVII |           beforehand, even as the Lord instructs us, and says, "
29 XVII |        corrupt good manners." The Lord teaches and warns us to
30 XVII |          profane the truth of the Lord's offering by false sacrifices,
31 XVIII|       fire that went out from the Lord consumed with a hasty revenge;
32 XVIII|         was marked by an offended Lord in that part of his body
33 XVIII|           who deserve well of the Lord. And the sons of Aaron,
34 XVIII|         upon the altar, which the Lord had not commanded, were
35 XVIII|           presence of an avenging Lord.~
36 XIX  |       human appointment, whom the Lord rebukes and reproves in
37 XX   |          he had received from the Lord, yet after he forsook the

48 XXIII|           he, "in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw
49 XXIV |           salutary teachings, the Lord, when He was now very near
50 XXV  |         of believers, keeping the Lord's commandments, maintained
51 XXV  |      whatever they asked from the Lord's mercy.~
52 XXVI |          patrimony; and while our Lord bids us sell, we rather
53 XXVI |           weak. And therefore the Lord, look ing to our days, says
54 XXVI |           to heart the day of the Lord, and the wrath of God, and
55 XXVII|          to observe and to do the Lord's precepts. Let us be such
56 XXVII|           men that wait for their Lord, when He shall come from
57 XXVII|         those servants whom their Lord, when He cometh, shall find
58 XXVII|          the sudden coming of the Lord, that when He shall knock,
59 XXVII|       watch, and receive from the Lord the reward of our vigilance.
