Chapter

 1 I  |   justice and mercy, so that by almsgiving we may wash away whatever
 2 II |       Scriptures, and says, "By almsgiving and faith sins are purged."
 3 II |    water extinguisheth fire, so almsgiving quencheth sin." Here also
 4 II |  Gehenna is extinguished, so by almsgiving and works of righteousness
