Chapter

 1 pref|        the devil first attacked man. All kinds of temptation,
 2 pref|         inexperienced. But if a man, keeping the Lord's precepts,
 3 pref|       because Christ, whom that man confesses, is unconquered.
 4 pref|         For if I were to give a man a garment finished and ready,
 5 arg |     place, that the idols which man makes for himself are not
 6 arg |    unless they are preserved by man. But neither are those elements
 7 arg |       be worshipped which serve man according to the disposition
 8 I   |        they are slow to go. For man made them, and he that borrowed
 9 I   |   spirit fashioned them; but no man can make a god like unto
10 III |         have made; and the mean man was bowed down, and the
