1   II, 4 |    punishment if they failed to avenge the injury done to the gods.
2    V, 21|        powerful. For how can He avenge the wrongs of His worshippers,
3    V, 21| worshippers, if He is unable to avenge His own? I wish therefore
4    V, 21|         of Him who has power to avenge contempt shown towards Himself,
5    V, 21|         as also He has power to avenge the calamities and injuries
6    V, 22|         to be done, and neither avenge nor defend His worshippers?
7    V, 24|    although He is accustomed to avenge the persecutions of His
8   VI, 18|         but that lie should not avenge it when inflicted on himself.
