 1     I, 2 |       father is light, but mother darkness; and that of the light the

17     V, 14|        with spirit. As, then, the darkness seeks after the splendour,
18     V, 14|   existent things, and a light of darkness. And it struggles to be
19     V, 14|          serpent--the wind of the darkness, the first-begotten of the
20     V, 14|          pangs which were in that darkness. Nay, more than this was
21     V, 15|           doctrine when he says, "Darkness, and mist, and tempest."
22    VI, 33|        tetrad,--namely, light and darkness. And he affirms that the

50     X, 12|          he says, overcome by the darkness, the figure even of this
