Chapter

 1 1 |      the entire compass of the world, so as to cause days, months,
 2 1 |  placed man at the head of the world, arid man, too, made in
 3 1 |        mysteries; so that this world, immense as it is, might
 4 1 |       within the bosom of this world, however capacious as we
 5 1 |        and the depths I of the world itself. And thus considering
 6 2 |    these unlike principles one world is so established by a conspiring
 7 3 |      may show that He whom the world does not contain is much
 8 3 |       from the creation of the world, are clearly seen, being
 9 4 |       whose goodness the whole world is witness; which world
10 4 |        world is witness; which world He would not have ordained
11 8 |      by His Son into the whole world, that the condition of the
12 8 |         even through the whole world itself; whose end, whose
13 8 | whereby all the members of the world are always being rolled
14 8 |     midst, either because this world of ours is hastening to
15 8 |    with relaxed reins. For the world,s which is that chariot
16 10|       to do with the Creator's world? What hast thou to do with
17 11|      all, and the Chief of the world, to whom all things were
18 11|       as man subsequent to the world, so as God He is manifested
19 11|        to have been before the world. And in the same way as
20 11|     seed of David, so also the world is said to have been ordained
21 12|        the consummation of the world." Therefore He is" God with
22 13|      received Him not. For the world was made by Him, and the
23 13|       was made by Him, and the world knew Him not." Moreover,
24 13|       was with Thee before the world was." And if this Word came
25 13|   before the foundation of the world, it is most manifestly proved.
26 13|        nevertheless, while the world itself is said to have been
27 13|   divinity in Him whereby, the world was made, both His glory
28 14|         when He came into this world, did He come unto His own,
29 14|       a man could have made no world? If Christ was only man,
30 14|       was only man, how is the world said to have been made by
31 14|     been made by Him, when the world was not by man, but man
32 14|     man was ordained after the world? If Christ was only man,
33 15|     from above; ye are of this world, I am not of this world?"
34 15|        world, I am not of this world?" But therefore if every
35 15|        if every man is of this world, and Christ is for that
36 15|        for that reason in this world, is He only man ? God forbid !
37 15|        says: "I am not of this world." Does He then speak falsely
38 15|  falsely when He says "of this world," if He is only man ? Or
39 15|     falsely, He is not of this world; He is therefore not man
40 15|      because He is not of this world. But that it should not
41 15|    therefore He is not of this world; although, moreover, in
42 15|        which He is not of this world according to the divinity
43 15|     the Word, so He is of this world according to the frailty
44 15|      the body, which is of the world, and spoke of His divinity
45 15|     alone, which is not of the world: so that in proportion as
46 15| sanctified, and sent into this world, Thou blasphemest, because
47 16|       had with Thee before the world was?" If, before the world
48 16|     world was?" If, before the world was, He had glory with God,
49 16|  Father, He existed before the world, for He would not have had
50 16|   before the foundation of the world; therefore He Himself was
51 16|   before the foundation of the world. For unless He were before
52 16|   before the foundation of the world, He could not have glory
53 16|   before the foundation of the world, since He Himself was not
54 16|   before the foundation of the world, seeing that he was after
55 16|   seeing that he was after the world; but Christ had--therefore
56 16|    therefore He was before the world. Therefore He was not man
57 16|  seeing that He was before the world. He is therefore God, because
58 16|      because He was before the world, and held His glory before
59 16|      held His glory before the world. Neither let this be explained
60 16|   before the foundation of the world. For He is "the Word by
61 16|   before the foundation of the world, let order be maintained,
62 17|   before the foundation of the world to be the Word of God, and
63 18|    this is Christ. What in the world is the reason that we should
64 20|       himself. And what in the world is the reason, that although
65 26|       was with Thee before the world was made?Or when it was
66 27| sanctified, and sent into this world, Thou blasphemest; because
67 29|    foot the very powers of the world and its tortures, since
68 29|     received the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is
69 29|  forgiveness, not only in this world, but also not in the world
70 29|     world, but also not in the world to come." This is He who
