 1 3 |         IS PROVED FROM THE HOLY SCRIPTURES.~Him, then, we acknowledge
 2 10|   before by the Creator, in the Scriptures of the Old Testament; especially
 3 11|       also God according to the Scriptures. For there is a great risk
 4 12|  AUTHORITY OF THE OLD TESTAMENT SCRIPTURES.~Why, then, should we hesitate
 5 12|         Father according to the Scriptures? Yea, if God the Father
 6 12|      Christ is born, who by the Scriptures is also said to be God,
 7 15|      example and witness of the Scriptures. "If," said He, "He called
 8 15|         God were given, and the Scriptures cannot be broken, ye say
 9 17|       THE BEGINNING OF THE HOLY SCRIPTURES.~What if Moses pursues this
10 18|  setting themselves against the Scriptures, in that, while they say
11 18|          but He is shown by the Scriptures to be Cod also. And this
12 19|       the faith of the heavenly Scriptures, which continually say that
13 20| ARGUMENT. IT IS PROVED FROM THE SCRIPTURES THAT CHRIST WAS CALLED AN
14 21|    CONFIRMED IN CHRIST BY OTHER SCRIPTURES.~And indeed I could set
15 21|         subject by all heavenly Scriptures, and set in motion, so to
16 22|      ONCE MORE ASSERTS BY OTHER SCRIPTURES.~But why, although we appear
17 23|      that He is declared in the Scriptures to be God, that many heretics,
18 23|    contrary to the truth of the Scriptures, is still a great and excellent
19 23|      proportion of the heavenly Scriptures show Christ to be God, but
20 29|         of the words and in the Scriptures of the Lord, admonish us
21 29|         his own contrary to the Scriptures; no one ordains other and
22 30|       asserted to be God by the Scriptures also, and this is believed
23 30|   declared to be one God by the Scriptures, and how it is held and
24 30|     introduced, contrary to the Scriptures. And they who contend that
25 30|     these. But neither the Holy Scriptures nor we suggest to them the
26 30|         portion of the heavenly Scriptures, since indeed also we ought
27 30|      which are laid down in the Scriptures, that we may not, by corrupting
28 30| corrupting the authority of the Scriptures, be held to have corrupted
29 30|       the fault of the heavenly Scriptures, which never deceive; but
30 30|        it true according to the Scriptures, there is one Lord? And
31 30|          then, according to the Scriptures, is "one our Master, even
32 30|    Master, even Christ?" In the Scriptures there is one "called good,
33 30|      even God;" but in the same Scriptures Christ is also asserted
