  1 8 |            of them He promised His Son Christ; and at the time

 16 11|         our Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Creator, was
 17 11|            could not beget God the Son. But, moreover, no blindness
 18 11|            set forth Him to be the Son of God only, but also the
 19 11|          of God only, but also the Son of man; nor does it only
 20 11|          nor does it only say, the Son of man, but it has also
 21 11|  accustomed to speak of Him as the Son of God. So that being of
 22 11|         read that Jesus Christ the Son of man is man, read also
 23 11|            called also God and the Son of God. For in the manner
 24 11|        manner as He is as man the "Son of David," so as God He
 25 11|           to the Father, so as the Son in obedience to the Father
 26 12|          shall conceive and bear a son, and ye shall call His name
 27 12|          either that Christ is the Son of God, at whose advent
 28 12|           confess Christ to be the Son of God, and God, let them
 29 12|          the Father, or as God the Son ? If as the Son, why do
 30 12|            God the Son ? If as the Son, why do they deny that the
 31 12|          why do they deny that the Son of God is God? If as the
 32 12|          is believed to be not the Son, but the Father; since by
 33 12|         came from the south is the Son, or the Father; for God
 34 12|        come from the south. If the Son, why do they shrink from
 35 12|            they call Him Father or Son, from his heresy, however
 36 12|          or in wishing to call Him Son.~
 37 13|         came down from heaven, the Son of man who is in heaven."
 38 13|        might ascend thither as the Son of man, whence the Son of
 39 13|         the Son of man, whence the Son of God had descended as
 40 13|           the Word of God, and the Son of God assumes the frailty
 41 14|        doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise," when man cannot

 77 19|           AS AN ANGEL; NAMELY, THE SON OF GOD.~What if in another

 80 20|           Father giveth not to the Son by measure, for the Father

 95 24|          NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE SON OF GOD AND THE SON OF MAN;
 96 24|     BETWEEN THE SON OF GOD AND THE SON OF MAN; BECAUSE THEY HAVE
 97 24|            distinction between the Son of God and the Son of man;
 98 24|     between the Son of God and the Son of man; because if a distinction
 99 24|         self-same that is man, the Son of man, appears also as
100 24|           man, appears also as the Son of God; that man and flesh
101 24|         may be said to be also the Son of God Himself. Whence,
102 24|           is discerned between the Son of man and the Son of God,
103 24|     between the Son of man and the Son of God, but the Son of man
104 24|            the Son of God, but the Son of man Himself is asserted
105 24|      Himself is asserted to be the Son of God, the same Christ

180 31|       ARGUMENT. BUT THAT GOD, THE, SON OF GOD, BORN OF GOD THE
181 31|             when He willed it, the Son, the Word, was born, who
182 31|            has apprehended. To the Son alone they are known, who
183 31|            the Father as being the Son, but not taking from the
184 31|            if He also were not the Son, but the Father begetting
185 31|     begetting from Himself another Son, reasonably, as compared
186 31|         the Light, or as being the Son; and whatever of these He
187 31|          all things. Moreover, the Son does nothing of His own
188 31|           birth proves Him to he a Son, yet obedience even to death
189 31|            subjected to Him as the Son by the Father, while He
190 31|          He is indeed proved to be Son of His Father; but He is
191 31|          are subjected to Him, the Son refers all that He has received
192 31|        given and directed upon the Son, and is again returned by
193 31|         God indeed is shown as the Son, to whom the divinity is
194 31|           reflected as sent by the Son Himself to the Father, who
195 31|         and the source also of His Son Himself whom He begot as
196 31|       begot as Lord. Moreover, the Son is God of all else, because
