Chapter

 1 1pref|             the mode of worshipping God prevalent among the Christians,
 2 1pref|     earnestly concerning them, what God they trust in, and what
 3 1pref|           thy desire, and I implore God, who enables us both to
 4 2    |         your conduct] that he [your God] is possessed of sense.
 5 3    |            it proper to worship one God as being Lord of all, [are
 6 3    |            to offer these things to God as if He needed them, might
 7 4    |           which have been formed by God for the use of men as properly
 8 4    |             And to speak falsely of God, as if He forbade us to
 9 4    |           were specially beloved by God,--how is it not a subject
10 4    |     tendencies, the appointments of God, and the vicissitudes of
11 4    |        peculiar mode of worshipping God from any mortal.~
12 6    |        increase the more in number. God has assigned them this illustrious
13 7    |        committed to them, but truly God Himself, who is almighty,
14 7    |            king, so sent He Him; as God He sent Him; as to men He
15 7    |           place in the character of God. As calling us He sent Him,
16 7    |           man: this is the power of God; these are the evidences
17 8    |   understood before His coming what God is? Do you accept of the
18 8    |             some said that fire was God, calling that God to which
19 8    |          fire was God, calling that God to which they themselves
20 8    |           of the elements formed by God. But if any one of these
21 8    |        might also be declared to be God. But such declarations are
22 8    |         alone it is given to behold God. For God, the Lord and Fashioner
23 8    |            given to behold God. For God, the Lord and Fashioner
24 9    |             through the kindness of God, be vouchsafed to us; and
25 9    |           enter into the kingdom of God, we might through the power
26 9    |          might through the power of God be made able. But when our
27 9    |             the time had come which God had before appointed for
28 9    |          power, how the one love of God, through exceeding regard
29 9    |             than by the only Son of God? O sweet exchange! O unsearchable
30 10   |        knowledge of the Father. For God has loved mankind, on whose
31 10   |           may become an imitator of God. He can, if he is willing.
32 10   |        things become an imitator of God. But these things do not
33 10   |         things he has received from God, by distributing these to
34 10   |             to the needy, becomes a god to those who receive [his
35 10   |     benefits]: he is an imitator of God. Then thou shalt see, while
36 10   |          while still on earth, that God in the heavens rules over [
37 10   |           to speak the mysteries of God; then shalt thou both love
38 10   |          because they will not deny God; then shall thou condemn
39 12   |         things, you shall know what God bestows on such as rightly
40 12   | significance which are written, how God from the beginning planted
41 12   |         things which are desired by God, which the Serpent cannot
