  Chapter

1 XII   | gifts of God, and escape the punishments. For those who, on account
2 XII   |      account of the laws and punishments you impose, endeavour to
3 XXXI  | alone should be led to cruel punishments, unless they would deny
4 XLIII |     hold it to be true, that punishments, and chastisements, and
5 XLIV  |  immortality of the soul, or punishments after death, or contemplation
6 LXVIII|      laws, you shall adjudge punishments in proportion to the offences.
7 LXVIII|     award to him more severe punishments in proportion to his wickedness.
