1 2|  speak to those who lawfully may hear;~All others, ye profane,
2 3|    life,~That we the holders may be fairly judged;~And if
3 3|      being wicked, prospers, may redeem~The time so precious,
4 4|   gems;~If thus he thinks he may propitiate God,~He errs,
5 5| serve the gods, whoever they may be;~But from the central
