 1 II, 19|          XIX. MAN IS PLACED IN PARADISE.~God having thus completed
 2 II, 20|      THE SCRIPTURAL ACCOUNT OF PARADISE.~Scripture thus relates
 3 II, 20|      history: "And God planted Paradise, eastward, in Eden; and
 4 II, 20|      life also in the midst of Paradise, and the tree of the knowledge
 5 II, 21|      the history of man and of Paradise.~
 6 II, 22|      now say that He walked in Paradise?" Hear what I say. The God
 7 II, 23| seventh day, when also He made Paradise, that he might be in a better
 8 II, 24|            XXIV. THE BEAUTY OF PARADISE.~God, then, caused to spring
 9 II, 24|       the things which were in Paradise were made of a superior
10 II, 24|        possessed not, but only Paradise. And that Paradise is earth,
11 II, 24|        only Paradise. And that Paradise is earth, and is planted
12 II, 24|       And the LORD God planted Paradise in Eden eastwards, and placed

14 II, 24|    flowed out of Eden to water Paradise, and after that divides
15 II, 24|       God having placed man in Paradise, as has been said, to till
16 II, 24|        had been produced, into Paradise, giving him means of advancement,
17 II, 24|     either; so also the place, Paradise, was made in respect of
18 II, 25|    procured his expulsion from Paradise. Not, therefore, as if there
19 II, 26| GOODNESS IN EXPELLING MAN FROM PARADISE.~And God showed great kindness
20 II, 26|    banishment, cast him out of Paradise, in order that, having by
21 II, 26|       had been twice placed in Paradise; so that the one was fulfilled
22 II, 28|        having been cast out of Paradise, in this condition knew
