 1 1 |       witness, let us adduce the voice of prophecy accordant with
 2 1 |     others He addresses with the voice of song, just as a good
 3 1 |        Saviour has many tones of voice, and many methods for the
 4 1 |      bewailing He pities, by the voice of song He cheers. He spake
 5 1 |       the prophets uttered their voice,--the Lord Himself speaking
 6 1 |         and is he not entirely a voice of exhortation? Let us then
 7 1 |         profess himself to be "a voice crying in the wilderness."
 8 1 |         may say, "The beseeching voice of the Word crying in the
 9 1 | wilderness." What criest thou, O voice? Tell us also. "Make straight
10 1 |         the forerunner, and that voice the precursor of the Word;
11 1 |         of the Word; an inviting voice, preparing for salvation,--
12 1 |      preparing for salvation,--a voice urging men on to the inheritance
13 1 |       This fecundity the angel's voice foretold; and this voice
14 1 |         voice foretold; and this voice was also the precursor of
15 1 |    wilderness. By reason of this voice of the Word, therefore,
16 1 |          of childbirth utter her voice: for more are the children
17 9 |       afraid as thou hearest the voice of the Divine Word? Art
18 9 |      To-day, if ye will hear His voice, harden not your hearts,
19 9 |            if to-day we hear His voice." And that to-day is lengthened
20 9 |        Let us then ever obey the voice of the divine word. For
21 9 |        interpreter of the divine voice, when he says, "The Lord
22 10|     consider that God utters His voice by the raven and the jackdaw,
23 10|       ear, and will not hear the voice of the charmers." But allow
24 11|      true God, first raising our voice in this hymn of praise:
25 12|        thou mayest hears diviner voice."~She praises thee, O mariner,
