 1    I, 5   |      will feed His flock like a shepherd, He will gather the lambs
 2    I, 6   |     after the image of the good Shepherd, and you the sheep, are
 3    I, 7   |    Sometimes He calls Himself a shepherd, and says, "I am the good
 4    I, 7   |        and says, "I am the good Shepherd." According to a metaphor
 5    I, 7   |         leads the children--the Shepherd who tends the babes. For
 6    I, 7   |           be one flock, and one shepherd." The Word, then, who leads
 7    I, 9   |      corrects, and teaches as a shepherd His flock. He pities those
 8    I, 9   |     need life; sheep, we need a shepherd; we who are children need
 9    I, 9   | crowning wisdom of the all-holy Shepherd and Instructor, of the omnipotent
10    I, 9   |       represents Himself as the Shepherd of the sheep. And He is
11    I, 9   |        the promises of the good Shepherd. Feed us, the children,
12    I, 9   |       will be," He says, "their Shepherd," and will be near them,
13    I, 9   |       so He owns to be the good shepherd. Generous, therefore, is
14    I, 11  | sacrifice for us: "For the good Shepherd giveth His life for the
15  III, hymn|         against adverse shock;~ Shepherd, with wisdom tending~ Lambs
16  III, hymn|    Jesus, Saviour of our race;~ Shepherd, who dost us keep;~ Husbandman,
