 1 1 |        Tradition, and in written Books, which are therefore called
 2 1 |          Church in regard to the Books of both Testaments; and
 3 1 |      elucidation of these divine Books must be excellent and useful
 4 3 | understand how deeply the sacred Books should be esteemed, and
 5 5 |      Scripture is not like other books. Dictated by the Holy Ghost,
 6 6 | celestial treasure of the Sacred Books, so bountifully bestowed
 7 7 |          their letters and their books, whether in defence of the
 8 7 |        theology; the division of books into parts, and the summaries
 9 10|          the truth of the divine Books, are obtruded on the world
10 10|        deadly poison by means of books, pamphlets, and newspapers;
11 13|          the whole of one or two Books continuously and with a
12 13|          are spent on the Sacred Books themselves, and not to overload
13 14|        author both of the Sacred Books and of the doctrine committed
14 14|      than to refuse to study the Books of the divine mysteries
15 14|      understanding the apostolic Books, but because they are men
16 16|        considers that the Sacred Books hold such an eminent position
17 17|      tongues in which the sacred Books were originally written;
18 17|          and mangling the Sacred Books; and this vaunted "higher
19 18|       such attacks on the Sacred Books, and in refuting them. There
20 20|        be tolerated. For all the books which the Church receives
21 20|          words of the last: "The Books of the Old and New Testament,
22 21|         that it is only to those Books of Scripture which are now
