 1 Intro |                         A.D. 431 ~Emperors.--THEODOSIUS II. AND VALENTINIAN
 2  2    |         THE SYNOD.~Neither of the Emperors could personally attend

 8  6    |          the command of the pious Emperors, declares: We should indeed
 9  6    |           with the command of the Emperors, who require a peaceful
10  6,1  |           pious and Christ-loving Emperors, we assembled together in
11  6,1  |      decrees of the Christ-loving Emperors by whom we were assembled,
12  6,1  |   contained in the letters of the Emperors that if anyone did not arrive
