 9 14,3|      shall be carried before the Sovereign Pontiff, and be by him decided. ~
10 15  |       Being the fourth under the Sovereign Pontiff, Julius III., celebrated
11 15,1|      highest priests: whence the Sovereign Pontiffs, in virtue of the
12 16  |        Being the fifth under thc Sovereign Pontiff, Julius III., celebrated
13 17  |        sixth, and last under the Sovereign Pontiff, Julius III., celebrated
14 17,2|      COUNCIL OF TRENT, UNDER THE SOVEREIGN PONTIFF, PIUS IV ~Paul,
15 18  |        being the first under the Sovereign Pontiff, Pius IV., celebrated
16 18,1|          our most holy Lord, the Sovereign Pontiff, Pius IV.; and that,
17 19  |       Being the second under the Sovereign Pontiff, Pius IV., celebrated
18 20  |        Being the third under the Sovereign Pontiff, Pius IV., celebrated
19 21  |       Being the fourth under the Sovereign Pontiff, Pius IV., celebrated
20 22  |        Being the fifth under the Sovereign Pontiff, Pius IV., celebrated
21 23  |        Being the sixth under the Sovereign Pontiff, Pius IV., celebrated
22 23,4|       and wholesomely enacted by sovereign pontiffs and sacred councils,--
23 24  |      Being the seventh under the Sovereign Pontiff, Pius IV., celebrated
24 25  |       Being the eighth under the Sovereign Pontiff, Pius IV., celebrated
25 25,4|           in order that the said Sovereign Pontiff, having a full knowledge
26 25,4|       taken cognizance of by the Sovereign Pontiff only, the less by
27 25,4| cognizance of and decided by the Sovereign Roman Pontiff himself only.
28 25,4|         in regard thereof to the Sovereign Roman Pontiff; who, being
29 25,4|         carried into effect, the Sovereign Pontiff may provide, out
30 25,4|      divers constitutions of the Sovereign Pontiffs, all of which this
31 25,4|           as may seem fit to the Sovereign Pontiff, for the necessities
32 25,4|          See, or those which the Sovereign Roman Pontiff shall, for
33 26  |         ninth and last under the Sovereign Pontiff, Pius IV. ~
34 26,4|    profess true obedience to the Sovereign Roman Pontiff; and at the
35 26,4|       give notice thereof to the Sovereign Roman Pontiff, and shall
36 26,4|      under the protection of the Sovereign Pontiff, and are subject
37 26,4|        forthwith transmit to the Sovereign Roman Pontiff, any delegations
38 26,4|          sacred constitutions of Sovereign Pontiffs and of Councils. ~
39 26,4|    discipline, as well under the Sovereign Pontiffs, Paul III., and
40 26,7|     forthwith be referred to the Sovereign Roman Pontiff, by whose
